NSYNC in 2023.

Throwback ‘90s boy band NSYNC isn’t such a throwback anymore. They presented together at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards in September and released their first original song in more than 20 years that same month, and Justin Timberlake is even making headlines for his relationship with Britney Spears! Whether a reunion tour is in the works remains to be seen, but one thing's certain: The five band members, who have their own solo careers with varying degrees of success, definitely aren’t hurting for cash.

Here’s a look at each NSYNC member’s net worth, how they’ve earned their money since the band split up and who’s the richest (you can probably guess).

5. Joey Fatone

Joey Fatone has an estimated net worth of $7 million, as reported by Celebrity Net Worth. He didn’t pursue music after NSYNC, but instead has had a prominent career as an actor.

One of his biggest film roles came just before the band’s breakup with 2002’s My Big Fat Greek Wedding, in which Fatone played cousin Angelo and reprised his role for the film’s two sequels. He’s also appeared in TV shows such as Dancing with the Stars (2007), where he came in second to Olympic speed skater Apolo Ohno, and The Masked Singer (2019 and 2023).

Fatone owns the hot dog stand Fat One’s, which opened in Orlando in 2016.

4. Chris Kirkpatrick

Chris Kirkpatrick is worth an estimated $10 million, per Celebrity Net Worth. Though he hasn’t been as visibly—or financially—successful as other NSYNC members since their split, he continues to perform.

In 2007, Kirkpatrick formed the alternative rock band Nigel’s 11, which released an independent album in 2010. He also started his reality-TV career with a stint on Country Music TV’s Gone Country, a show where artists from other genres compete to record their own country song.

Since then, Kirkpatrick has competed on Celebrity Big Brother (2022) and The Masked Singer (2022). He spent last summer performing with other ‘90s and early 2000s musicians on the Pop 2000 tour.

3. JC Chasez

JC Chasez has an estimated net worth of $16 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth, largely due to his time in NSYNC and his continued work in the music industry.

When the band broke up, he wasted no time launching his solo music career with the release of the album Schizophrenic. Unfortunately, the album’s lead single barely cracked the charts—peaking at No. 88 on the Hot 100—and his performance at the 2004 NFL Pro Bowl was canceled after former bandmate Justin Timberlake’s controversial Super Bowl halftime show.

Schizophrenic would be Chasez’s first and only solo album, as he went on to mainly write and produce songs for other artists, like David Archuleta, McFly and even the Backstreet Boys. He also appeared as a judge on MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew from 2008 to 2012 and scored small parts in the films Killer Movie (2008), Red Sky (2014) and Opening Night (2016).

2. Lance Bass

Lance Bass, per Celebrity Net Worth, has a net worth of about $20 million. Like Fatone, he’s spent recent years mostly focused on film and television. There was also that one time he tried to become an astronaut in 2002—complete with a $20 million ticket to the International Space Station—but the opportunity fell through at the last minute, leaving Bass to continue his post-NSYNC celeb career on Earth.

Bass has appeared in a number of movies, including Zoolander (2001), I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry (2007) and Tropic Thunder (2008). He also played Corny Collins in a 2007 Broadway run of Hairspray. The same year, he released his highly anticipated autobiography, Out of Sync, which detailed his NSYNC career and personal struggles with his sexuality.

Currently, Bass hosts his podcast, Frosted Tips, with husband Michael Turchin, where every week they interview a different ‘90s star.

1. Justin Timberlake

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Justin Timberlake has a net worth of around $250 million. This is a combined net worth with his wife, actress Jessica Biel, however he’s responsible for the lion’s share—about $200-$230 million. This off-the-charts number says a little something about the level of success JT experienced compared to his NSYNC bandmates, who, while still famous, led relatively low-profile careers after NSYNC’s breakup.

Timberlake actually released his first solo album before the band fell apart. Justified dropped in November 2002 and saw massive success, featuring a little song even non-Timberlake fans might recognize: "Cry Me a River." He’s since released four more studio albums that include No. 1 hits like SexyBack, What Goes Around… Comes Around and Can’t Stop The Feeling.

While music has been his bread and butter, Timberlake can be seen in movies like The Social Network (2010) and Friends with Benefits (2011), and has voice-acted roles in Shrek the Third (2007) and the upcoming Trolls Band Together (2023). His fortune is supplemented by his minority ownership of the Memphis Grizzlies and his clothing line William Rast.
