Oprah Winfrey told Ellen DeGeneres that she recently went to a bank for the first time since 1988 to deposit $2 million "just to do it."

"It felt fantastic," Winfrey told DeGeneres. (The segment starts around the 3:10 mark below.)

Winfrey, who joins 60 Minutes as a contributor this fall, is one of the wealthiest people on the planet. In her lifetime, she's been ranked the richest black American and the first African-American on BusinessWeek's list of the country's top philanthropists. And to top it off, she fueled speculation that she could be running for president in 2020 with a recent tweet.

But how much, exactly, is the mogul worth today?

Forbes estimates Winfrey's net worth as $3.1 billion, putting her in 660th place on its list of billionaires (she was the first black woman billionaire in world history). Bloomberg has a slightly higher figure-$3.4 billion-according to its Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

And while she's been named the wealthiest self-made woman in America before, that honor now goes to Marian Ilitch, who started a restaurant with her husband that turned into the Little Caesars pizza chain. Ilitch is now reportedly worth $5.1 billion.

Winfrey already owns 10 percent of Weight Watchers. Maybe she should get into the pizza game too?
