Massimo Giorgetti is the type of creative director who loves to stay strongly connected to younger generations in order to translate their energy into his MSGM collections.

For resort, the designer interpreted a certain hedonist desire for self-expression and self-exposure that he sees when looking at people in the streets. “I see a lot of skin, it’s like people want to be seen, that they want to expose their bodies,” he said.

As a result, Giorgetti presented a collection that revealed a lot of skin, but in a way that’s more frisky and cool than sexy.

Channeling a Nineties vibe – actually the designer cited Nirvana’s “Come as you are” as an ideal soundtrack for the lineup – he delivered a lot of off-shoulder and halter tops, bralettes and crisscross details.

In a balance between the feminine and the edgy, he combined more romantic and sweet micro floral motifs, sometimes matched with argyle graphics inspired by the artworks of Paolo Gonzato, to artsy and eye-catching hearts showing watercolor-like effects that were splashed on tulle tops and plisse skirts.

The collection also featured a retro sport influence, with techo-cady tracksuits, while cotton quilted shirt jackets cut in oversized silhouettes anchored the look to cool streetwear. Cold-washed suits charmed with alluring color effects and maxi parkas in sustainable waterproof materials felt like go-to items for those who cannot renounce style but want to stay green.
