MSCHF’s Latest Gobstomper Sneaker Comes With a Dremel for Distressing

MSCHF wants people to beat up its Gobstomper sneaker in order to appreciate the colors hidden beneath the topmost layer. To make things easier, the Brooklyn-based art collective has partnered with Dremel to release the shoe along with the ideal tool for distressing.

The Gobstomper Dremel Edition comes packaged in a co-branded carrying case along with the Dremel 4000, a 1.6 amp variable speed rotary tool that can reach up to 35,000 RPM. Several different sanding attachments are included to have at the sneakers layers — or whatever chores you may have on your plate.

The sneaker itself arrives in a white, black, and blue color scheme to match to match the rotary tool. The very same colors are layered beneath, but bringing them to surface does still ultimately make for a more colorful affair. Dremel’s logo appears on the tongue tag, while MSCHF’s name is printed onto the midsole for a flourish new to the model.

MSCHF debuted the Gopstomber as part of a collaboration with Jimmy Fallon in 2022 and has since released several more colorways on its own. Typically, the sneaker retails for $195. The asking price for the Dremel Edition isn’t much higher than that plus the cost of a Dremel 4000, making it a relatively economic purchase — especially if you might otherwise use the rotary tool.

The MSCHF Gobstomper Dremel Edition will release Nov. 28 through MSCHF’s website and Sneakers App through a 24-hour draw. Pricing is set at $350.
