Ms. Marvel just debuted on Disney+ and it's pretty easy to say that folks have already fallen in love with Marvel's newest superhero. In case you're still getting up with the show, it follows Captain Marvel-obsessed teen Kamala Khan (portrayed by newcomer Iman Vellani) as she goes through the trials and tribulations of adolescence. The only difference? Kamala's suddenly got superpowers (just like her favorite Avenger) and now has to hide the shocking development from all her friends and family. Will she succeed? We don't know yet but thankfully we have a whole season to figure this out.

Speaking of figuring out ... We have some questions we need to discuss. We know that the latest Marvel series is meant to center around the young girl coming into her own as a superhero. Yet a major selling point of the series is that Kamala is (rightfully) a big fan of Captain Marvel, portrayed by Brie Larson in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). In fact, the show's title even shares a name with the famed Kree.

If we're supposed to be focusing on Kamala, despite the series being geared towards her becoming some sort of Captain Marvel 2.0, it would be so cool for Carol Danvers to just show up unexpectedly and give the girl a few pointers. Now, this thought had led many to ask: Will Carol Danvers, a.k.a. Captain Marvel, be in Ms. Marvel?

The answer? We don't know. We are talking about Marvel and in the past, the studio has been pretty consistent in bringing characters from their various movies to their TV shows. In theory, it's completely possible to see Ms. Marvel and Captain Marvel fight side-by-side. A Reddit thread seems to make this case, although the theories there are a little bit more concise than just the blanket appear-disappear cameo.

In the Marvel Studios Reddit thread, user Rakalimon asked this very question and the comments led to some interesting ideas on Carol's potential TV debut. User Thatg0y567 had us thinking the duo could be gearing up for a movie, writing, "If we do it will be as a post credits tease for The Marvels."

Fans of the MCU may already be familiar with this but the studio already has plans to bring the two together onscreen for 2023's The Marvels. So really, the idea of the two meeting prior to the film's release really isn't that far-fetched. At least, we don't think it's far off ...

But there is another theory which may be a bit more in-line with what Marvel is trying to do with their legion of TV shows. In that same Reddit thread, user AnActofGold shared an answer many can ponder on: "I think it's a safe bet that at least Monica will show up. It's Marvel, there's no way this won't tease The Marvels somehow. They always tease 'the next thing.'"

Now, if you're unfamiliar with the MCU, you may be asking, "Who is Monica?" The Reddit user was referring to Monica Rambeau, who fans first met in the 2019 film and more recently in Disney+'s WandaVision. Given how Marvel just loves to switch up who's going to appear in their shows, there's definitely a strong possibility for Monica to come in and show Kamala the ropes of being a superhero. And let's not forget — she's set to make an appearance in The Marvels too. All in all, this theory checks out.

While there are lots of thoughts on this and no confirmed answers, it's only a matter of time before we get the true answer to Captain Marvel's potential appearance. Until then, if you want to enjoy Ms. Marvel, you head over to Disney+ to potentially watch the new show over and over again.

New episodes of Ms. Marvel air Wednesdays on Disney+.
