MRG Reminds Dog Owners To Respect Important Rule

The year is 2023, and trails across North America will soon be littered with the unpicked-up droppings of millions of dogs (if they aren't already).

Even in the age of plastic, when carrying disposable bags is beyond easy, there are still dog owners who lack common courtesy and refuse to abide by proper trail etiquette.

Mad River Glen, a ski area in Vermont, is kindly reminding dog owners to pick up droppings for everybody's sake with a clever social media post. "Let's all doo better."

Caption: "PSA: when hitting the trail this summer please remember to pack out what you pack in. That includes your dog's excrement. Leaving bags full of feces on the side of the trail to be picked up "on your way down" doesn't count. The poop fairy does not exist. Let's all doo better."

'The Poop Fairy does not exist' should be nominated for an award as the best caption of the year. I can't get enough of it.

What more can I say on this topic? Every person who owns a dog knows they're supposed to pick up after them. It's not like this PSA is telling anybody anything new.

Those who still refuse to clean up after their dogs are just plain a**holes. Let's make a collective effort to publicly shame them until they cave.

Who's with me?

Seems like Mad River Glen is.
