Mr. Beast Suing Ghost Kitchen Selling His 'Revolting' Mr. Beast Burger

YouTube megastar Mr. Beast launched the Mr. Beast Burger during the pandemic in 2020 as a way to reach fans stuck at home through their stomachs. Rather than open brick-and-mortar fast food locations at first, he partnered with Virtual Dining Concepts' ghost kitchen to deliver the product to buyers around the country via food delivery app. Now, the content creator is suing those involved.

Mr. Beast filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court in the Southern District of New York on July 31 alleging that Virtual Dining Concepts dropped the ball on delivering products worthy of the Mr. Beast name and failed the pay the widely known YouTuber.

"Because Virtual Dining Concepts was more focused on rapidly expanding the business as a way to pitch the virtual restaurant model to other celebrities for its own benefit, it was not focused on controlling the quality of the Mr. Beast Burger customer experience and products," the lawsuit stated, per CNN.

As part of the business arrangement, VDC would work with existing restaurants that would prepare the Mr. Beast-branded food and deliver them through food delivery services like Uber Eats. The company would then share a chunk of the revenue for its work.

But because of the lack of control Mr. Beast had over the food, customers received some less-than-stellar meals. According to the lawsuit, reviews have called the burger "disgusting,” “revolting,” and “inedible." The YouTuber addressed his inability to do anything about the issue on social media last month. "The problem with Beast Burger is I can’t guarantee the quality of the order,” he shared honestly. “When working with other restaurants it’s impossible to control it, sadly."

The lawsuit goes on to allege that Mr. Beast hasn't been paid for his efforts. "While this business has made millions of dollars, Mr. Beast has not received a dime,” the suit claimed. In May 2023, the video where he first announced the partnership vanished from his YouTube channel.

In response, VDC said Mr. Beast's complaint was filled with "inaccuracies" and that the lawsuit was filed in retaliation for the company not agreeing to a new deal with him. The group is filing its own claims against the popular content creator. "When VDC refused to accede to his bullying tactics to give up more of the company to him, he filed this ill-advised and meritless lawsuit seeking to undermine the Mr. Beast Burger brand and terminate his existing contractual obligations without cause,” the statement said.

Turns out the Mr. Beast Burger is more like the Pretty Patty.
