If you’ve ever wondered what it’d be like to meet Amy Poehler in the wild, you’ve come to the right place.

Moxie stars Hadley Robinson and Sydney Park recently sat down for an exclusive interview with PureWow, where they dished on what it’s really like to work with the Parks and Rec alum.

“Working with Amy was a dream,” Park told PureWow. “She is such an incredible human being—we call her ‘mama bear’ because she really took care of everybody and made everybody feel really special, seen and heard. I love that she took the time to really get to know each and every one of us.”

Robinson also chimed in to say, “Amy Poehler is a genius. She was wearing three hats with Moxie—she was director, actor and so much more. She was everybody’s cheerleader and support system, and she did it all seamlessly. She has so much grace and so much light, and she’s very generous.”

While discussing her experience during production, Park confirmed that Poehler made everyone feel like equals. “She has no ego. There is not a pretentious bone in her body,” the actress said. “She’s a superstar in every aspect, and it was really refreshing to see someone of her stature come in and be so humble and kind.”

Moxie tells the story of a shy teenager named Vivian Carter (Robinson). Drawing inspiration from her mom (Poehler), Vivian publishes an anonymous zine that’s dedicated to calling out sexism at her school. In addition to her starring role, Poehler also directed the movie.

All hail Leslie Knope Amy Poehler.
