Mountain Goats Passing Next to Hikers in Glacier National Park Are Unbelievable

We dream of visiting every single national park, exploring and hiking all the beautiful landscapes. What makes these national parks so perfect is all the wildlife you get to see. Although, not everyone gets up close and personal to the wildlife while visiting a national park.

But TikTok user @risa_nelson is definitely one of the lucky ones! These hikers got unbelievably close to mountain goats in Glacier National Park last year. They way they gave this mountain goat family plenty of room is precious. Check it out!

This is EVERYTHING! We honestly would've been nervous if they kept getting closer to us while on a hike because these creatures can be aggressive and hostile toward humans. Thankfully, they knew to give them plenty of space to pass without any trouble. We just know this is a moment they'll never, ever forget.

"The little one looking back after they passed," wrote @ddaniiellee. Our hearts melted instantly! It was the little goat's way of saying thank you. @mace_face143 added, "The way I would start crying. Thank you for giving them as much space as you could."

As incredible as it would be to get this close to some wild animals, everyone needs to remember to be respectful. This is their land and home after all. You might think that's obvious to keep your distance, but you'd be surprised. Earlier this summer, a tourist at Yellowstone had a terrifying encounter with a bison. She posed for a selfie next to the giant bison and then proceeded to touch the bison. That's a huge no no. She's lucky nothing happened.
