Mountain Dew Is Reportedly Releasing Riddler’s Brew, A Flavor Inspired By ‘The Batman’
Just as we were headed to the store to pick up Mountain Dew’s new Major Melon, we already have news of a potential new flavor coming to market. In honor of The Batman film hitting theaters in 2022, PepsiCo has Mountain Dew Riddler’s Brew on the horizon.
Whenever we get a peek at a leaked Mountain Dew photo, we usually at least know what the flavor is. In this case, however, it’s a huge mystery. The soda itself is dark blue with a green cap and details. The drink color reminds us of the Mountain Dew Dark Berry that was released in 2012 for The Dark Knight Rises film. The mixed berry flavor was apparent in the name, but Riddler’s Brew isn’t giving us too many clues.
The supervillain character The Riddler, born Edward Nashton, is known for his green suit and purple detail, so it’s interesting that this new drink doesn’t take on one of those colors — unless, of course, the dark blue soda is actually purple and the promotional photo is final.
The Batman was set to be released in June 2021, but has been pushed back to March 2022. It would only make sense that this means Riddler’s Brew is also pushed back to correspond with the film. It’s just a matter of time until we find out when that is.
Based off of other leaked materials, The Batman promotion will also be featured on the original Mountain Dew and Mountain Dew Zero Sugar bottles. Well, it looks like we’ll be counting down the days until this movie hits theaters.
