It looks like the holiday season won’t just be filled with Mountain Dew Merry Mash-Up. The PepsiCo brand is reportedly releasing Mountain Dew Snap’d, which will add Christmas spice for winter sipping.

The new soda started circulating on Reddit about a month ago, and people were quick to jump in with their thoughts. After all, Mountain Dew Snap’d is gingerbread-flavored, which isn’t exactly a typical flavor. Based off of that information, we can only assume that the light brown, orange-ish drink tastes like a combination of ginger, cloves, and cinnamon.

Reddit user TigersFan1872 posted photos of what seems to be ad materials for the upcoming Mountain Dew. On them, we see the slogan “Nice to Be Naughty” with mischievous gingerbread cookie men as they’re having a snowball fight. The packaging enough has us excited to give it a try!

The materials also say that Mountain Dew Snap’d is expected to launch in December 2021. Sadly, it doesn’t look like we’ll have the new gingerbread soda this year, but that just means next Christmas will be even spicier, with the 20-ounce bottles and 12-pack cans.

Now let’s address what we’re all thinking: Gingerbread-flavored Mountain Dew doesn’t sound good. After all, when’s the last time you’ve had a gingery drink that wasn’t tea? We’re going to put our faith in PepsiCo, however, because this is the same team that brought us Mountain Dew Southern Shock and Mountain Dew Spark. So who are we kidding? It’s probably going to be surprisingly delicious.
