Austrian cyclist and YouTuber Fabio Wibmer takes a page out of legendary ski racer Bode Miller's book and mimics his need for speed on the Streif, one of the most challenging downhill courses in the world.

Bode Miller is the winner of six Olympic Alpine skiing medals, and he didn't get there by playing it safe.

Bode charges up the wall, without losing speed, and making it back into the course safely. This trick sparked inspiration for Fabio Wibmer, whose own video paying homage to Bode opens with skiers marching uphill towards the famous course, while he gears up with his bike off to the side.

Fun fact: Bode Miller is a Carrabassett Valley Academy alum of Sugarloaf, Maine!

Fabio Wibmer captioned his video, "We're back on Snow! This time I'm crashing the preperations for the most legendary ski race in the world - the Streif."

The video is dramatic, explaining what the mountain biker is undertaking. "Kitzbuhel is the hardest and most legendary ski race in the world. Everyone who enters the start gate is a little bit crazy."

And with that, Fabio backflips out of the start gate and onto the course, catching the attention of everyone near the fencing on the sides.

He even bashes gates... on his bike!

The iconic moment comes when Fabio mimics Bode's move before him, sliding up the walls to the sides of the course at high speeds without crashing.

Then, Fabio does a couple wheelies, just to show off.

I always thought mountain biking was like the sister sport to downhill skiing, but the summer version.

I'm wrong yet again, as Fabio makes it look not only fun, but doable, in the middle of winter.

Will snow-mountain-biking be the next big thing?

The X Games start tomorrow. Maybe we'll hear whispers about it then.
