From Woman's Day

Forget moving walkways and airport trolleys-now there's a brand-new way to get around airports.

Both a piece of carry-on luggage and a scooter, the not-yet-available Modobag allows travelers to sit on their luggage while it carries them from gate to gate. With six miles per battery charge, the sturdy suitcase can transport up to 260 pounds at a speed of 8 miles per hour. (Switch on the "indoor" setting to prevent it from going over 5 miles per hour.)

According to the company's website, the bag fits TSA and UN standards, but it's pretty hefty. If you're packing heavier items, the 19 pound bag could set you over weight limits and possible cause you to get hit with additional travel fees.

So what was the inspiration for this scooter suitcase? Inventor Kevin O'Donnell said he was traveling with his kids through an airport, and found himself wondering why his family couldn't ride their luggage to get to the gate faster and with less stress.

If you want to get your hands on one of these gizmos, you need to contribute a minimum of $995 towards Modobag's Indiegogo fundraiser, and you'll be guaranteed a bag by January 2017.
