A mother found out her son was doing makeup tutorials, so she did ‘what any parent would do’

A mother surprised her young son with a makeup kit, recording his viral reaction on TikTok.

On Oct. 2, TikTok user @samanthas2209 shared a clip in which she tells her followers that she recently learned that her son was doing makeup tutorials on TikTok.

“Okay, you guys, so I saw my son’s TikToks, and he’s doing makeup tutorials,” the mother says. “So I did what any parent would do in this situation.”

The mother then goes to an unidentified store and pays for several items using her Venmo card. She later gives a bag to her son, who is seen sitting excitedly on a couch.

“Open it,” she says.

Upon unzipping the bag, the boy finds makeup and screams enthusiastically.

The mother’s clip has since gotten over 1.1 million likes and more than 23,000 comments.

“Best parent award goes to you,” one user wrote.

“I use to be against stuff like this with males but I realized that a smile on my boys faces any happiness is worth more [than] my feelings so congrats,” another added.

“This made me so happy omg,” a third commented.

As a result of her son’s newfound popularity, the mother included her son’s wishlist on Amazon, where TikTok users can help gift makeup to the young child. Some of the items include an eyeliner pencil, a blue wig and a vanity mirror.
