Being famous sounds...awesome, right? They've got money, lavish houses, and the ability to travel to the glitziest locations around the world. They get the celeb treatment like reservations whenever and wherever they want, tickets to the hottest events, and access to a directory of all the other famous people in the world!! They have that...right? Just a list of names and contact info of every celeb for other famous people...right?

But, the sad reality is that even famous people get hurt by their partners sometimes. You ever look at a famous couple and you're like, "WOW what a powerhouse. Two famous people in a relationship? Think of all the stardom there!" Well yeah, this double stardom is likely what leads to the common breakup or, in these cases, the tragic cheating scandals. And the thing is, when you’re caught in the crosshairs of a cheating scandal *and* you’re a Hollywood star, it tends to get ugly (and, er, public) fast. Here, some of the famous-est stories of famous infidelities that we’ve ever heard.

Colin Firth and Livia Giuggioli

This one is a DOOZY. Livia Giuggioli cheated on husband Colin Firth with their alleged...stalker...? Yeah you heard that one right. The two had apparently been close for a long time, which led to the affair in 2015, which then led to his subsequent stalking charges in 2016. It's...weird. Colin and Livia were married for 21 years and have two children together.

Emma Thompson and Kenneth Branagh

Emma Thompson and Kenneth Branagh called it quits after 6 years together, initially blaming it on their "work schedules." Which, okay. But then rumors started circling about the relationship ending due to Kenneth having an affair with Frankenstein co-star, Helena Bonham Carter. Which, 😞.

Woody Allen and Mia Farrow

Woody Allen and Mia Farrow were first introduced in 1979 at Elaine's, a Manhattan restaurant. A few weeks after their first encounter, Allen invited Farrow to his New Years Eve party. Sounds like the beginning of a great love story, right? But it didn't exaaaactly turn out that way...In 1991, Woody (56) started having an affair with Mia's daughter Soon-Yi Previn (21). He admitted that he had initially thought the affair would remain a secret, but then embraced the public eye once it was out in the open. The two got married (!) in 1997 and are still together to this day. And yes, sadly, there is a lot more to this story.

Kathie Lee Gifford and Frank Gifford

When the Globe tabloid published a story about Frank Gifford's alleged affair with a married woman, he initially denied all claims. Deny, deny, deny, right? Until...the Globe published stills and video transcript from Gifford's encounter with Suzen Johnson and he just could NOT deny that kind of evidence. Kathie Lee and Frank worked through the affair to resolve their marriage, and were together until Frank died in 2015.

Tony Parker and Eva Longoria

After rumors surfaced that pro basketball player Tony Parker had another woman on the sidelines (a former teammate’s wife!), the couple split after seven years together.

Sienna Miller (Again) and Balthazar Getty

After Jude and Sienna broke up, she was involved in another cheating scandal, this time with oil heir and actor Balthazar Getty. In 2008, Sienna and Balthazar were photographed together in Italy, which was an issue because, at the time, Balthazar was married with four children. Balthazar and his wife split for two years but eventually got back together, and he said that the affair only made his marriage “stronger.” This is what he told Britain’s Evening Standard, “Here’s the bottom line: It was a very challenging time for everybody involved. But I loved and missed my family too much not to make it work.”

Halsey and G-Eazy

Halsey teased that her longtime boyfriend cheated on her when she tweeted and deleted a scissor emoji (which fans theorize was a reference to a lyric from their joint song “Him & I” about what she’d do to G-Eazy’s junk if he ever cheated) in July 2018. Months later, Halsey confirmed the fan theory by putting G on blast during her SNL performance, when she sang in front of a backdrop that read “I’m so sorry Ashley [Halsey’s real name] I cheated,” and then listed at least a dozen places where the infidelity happened. Yikes!

Danny Amendola and Olivia Culpo

Olivia Culpo and NFL star Danny Amendola’s breakup got super messy thanks to Danny posting a truly WTF rant against his ex, accusing her of being “fake” and calling their relationship “sometimes toxic.” Please note that this went down after People reported that Danny was seen canoodling with another woman while he was still dating Olivia. How did Olivia respond? By low-key calling Danny out for cheating on her and moving on with her life. Boy, bye.

Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan

When Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid got divorced in 2000, there was speculation that it had to do with Meg’s blossoming relationship with Russell Crowe. However, eight years after the divorce, Meg came forward to reveal that actually, Dennis has been cheating on her. According to Meg, “Dennis was not faithful to me for a long time, and that was very painful. I found out more about that once I was divorced....Russell didn’t break up the marriage.”

Dennis was NOT pleased with Meg for coming forward about their breakup and responded by telling NY Daily News: “It was eight years ago, and I find it unbelievable that Meg continues publicly to rehash and rewrite the story of our relationship.” Oof, awkward.

Younes Bendjima and Kourtney Kardashian (Again)

So while neither Kourtney nor her ex Younes Bendjima have said on the record that their relationship ended because Younes cheated, both Kim and Khloé hinted that was the case. After Younes was photographed hanging out in Mexico with lots of women and then proceeded to slam tabloids on Instagram for implying that he was being unfaithful, Kim commented, “Nice pics from your ‘boys trip’ 🤥” and Khloé wrote, “Alexa, play ‘Heard it all before’ by Sunshine Anderson.” So, take from that what you will!

Cardi B and Offset

In December 2018, Cardi B and her husband Offset announced that they were getting divorced after a year of marriage. At first Cardi said that the reason for their split was that they fell “out of love,” but then a woman came forward and implied she was one of the reasons for the split.

Cardi and Offset got back together, and she talked about her decision to reconcile with Cosmopolitan, saying, “I want to work out my sh*t with my man, and I don’t got to explain why. I’m not your property. This is my life....I’m going to take my time, and I’m going to decide on my decision.…It’s not right, what he f*cking did—but people don’t know what I did, ’cause I ain’t no angel.”

Noah Cyrus and Lil Xan (Kind Of)

Whether or not Noah Cyrus cheated on Lil Xan is debatable, but he certainly thinks so! When the couple broke up in September 2018, Xan posted a (since deleted) Instagram saying, “I feel like I’m probably being cheated on....It just hurts so f*cking bad, you think you know somebody, and you just get used.” Noah posted her own Instagram live denying that she cheated on Xan, and then accused him of cheating on her. So...unclear what actually happened here.

David Lucado and Britney Spears

Brit avoided a public scandal in 2014 when her dad bought photos that were being shopped around of Britney’s boyfriend, David Lucado, making out with another woman. She promptly broke up with him and then tweeted, “Ahhhh the single life!” Britney also brought up David’s infidelity a month later during one of her Las Vegas concerts, telling the audience: “The best thing about your boyfriend cheating on you is that you get to go on another first date.” Too true.

Egor Tarabasov and Lindsay Lohan

Back in 2016, Lindsay was engaged to Russian business mogul Egor Tarabasov, and one night, in a series of (mostly) now-deleted messages on Snapchat, Twitter, and Instagram, she accused him of cheating on her, writing, “Wow thanks #Fiance with Russian hooker @Dasha_PA5H [aka Dasha Pashevkina, the creative director of PA5H].” Oh, and also this: “he cheated on me with hooker.” After the two broke up because Egor was allegedly physically abusive, Lindsay told Daily Mail, “I shouldn’t have said things about Dasha. I’ve apologized to her.”

Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran

Karrueche Tran started dating Chris Brown in 2011, shortly after he was charged with two felonies for beating then-girlfriend Rihanna. However, things didn’t end well for the couple—not only did Chris hang out with Rihanna behind Karrueche’s back, but she also found out that Chris had fathered a child with another woman while they were together. After their split, Karrueche was granted a restraining order from Chris, who she testified had beaten her and was sending her threats.

Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna

Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna’s split was probably one of the messiest ones in celeb history, as it featured Rob posting revenge porn of Chyna on Instagram and getting banned from the platform, because that type of behavior is NEVER acceptable. Amidst Rob’s social media venting about Chyna, he also posted a photo of another man, writing, “This is the dude Chyna got caught cheating on me with for a minute now....Never once have I cheated on Chyna and I remained loyal to her even after all the cheating she been doing and the multiple men she been f*cking including me.”

Laura Dern and Billy Bob Thornton

In 1999, Laura Dern was ENGAGED to Billy Bob Thornton (which, WHAT?) when he decided to go off and marry Angelia Jolie while she was out of town (again, WHAT?!). Laura explains the debacle as such: “I left our home to work on a movie, and while I was away, my boyfriend got married, and I’ve never heard from him again.” Wow...just...wow.

Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott

Okay, so this one is a maybe, but in March 2019, TMZ reported that Kylie had accused her boyfriend/baby daddy Travis Scott of cheating on her. Travis’s rep denied the rumors, but Travis deleted his entire Instagram and was reportedly flying across the country at night to make it up to Kylie while he was on tour, so the whole thing is very 👀.

Kevin Hart and Eniko Parrish

In 2017, Kevin admitted to cheating on his wife, Eniko Parrish, in an Instagram video after being blackmailed with explicit materials. In the post, he said, “You know, I’m not perfect. I’m not going to sit up here and say that I am or claim to be in any way shape or form. And I made a bad error in judgement and I put myself in a bad environment where only bad things can happen and they did. And in doing that I know that I’m going to hurt the people closest to me, who’ve I talked to and apologized to, that would be my wife and my kids....At the end of the day, man, I just simply have got to do better. But I’m also not going to allow a person to have financial gain off of my mistakes and in this particular situation that was what was attempted. I said I’d rather ’fess up to my mistakes.”

Jaime Bergman and David Boreanaz

Another celeb who confessed to cheating after someone threatened to expose them? Buffy’s David Boreanaz, who married Jaime Bergman in 2001. In 2010, David came forward about his affair, telling People, “Our marriage has been tainted with my infidelities. I just want to be open and honest. I was irresponsible....I was associated with a woman who I was involved with and had a relationship with. She asked for money. I felt as though I was being blackmailed or there was some sort of extortion. [Jaime and I are] working on our marriage. We’re working on repairing what has been damaged so badly.” And they did—David and his wife are still together today.

Dean McDermott and Tori Spelling

Christmas 2013 was a rough one for Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott, because that’s when news broke that Dean had been cheating on Tori with costar Emily Goodhand while the two of them were filming in Canada.

Years later, Dean opened up about why he had the affair on the Daddy Issues podcast, saying, “I’ve cheated and it’s so not about the person you’re with....For me, it wasn’t about T, it was about inadequacies with myself. I felt so bad about myself, I felt like a piece of sh*t, I needed to do that to feel some kind of power.” The couple worked through the scandal and are still together.

Jay-Z and Beyoncé

Queen B doesn’t really give interviews anymore, but her 2016 album Lemonade told us everything we need to know about Jay-Z cheating on her, including (a) that it happened at all and (b) Beyoncé was PISSED and (c) they worked through it and came out stronger on the other side.

Khloé Kardashian and Lamar Odom

Khloé’s marriage to Lamar Odom started falling apart after the NBA star cheated on her (FWIW, Lamar now says that he has a sex addiction). Khloé opened up about his infidelity to Howard Stern in 2016, saying, “Lamar was so great at making me feel like I was the only one and I’m this princess. I never speculated cheating.…He was so good. So nothing was on his cell phones, [but] he had an assistant. They were all on his assistant’s phone, so he was really crafty....It is humiliating on any level, but I found out he was cheating on me the majority of our marriage, I just didn’t know....I’m sure people would say it’s a mistake for me, I wouldn’t change what I did because it was also some of the best times of my life, so for me, I wouldn’t say it’s a mistake. I would say I needed that experience for me and I never felt better in my life at that time.” Pretty mature, tbh.

Tristan Thompson and Khloé Kardashian (Again)

Tristan Thompson, a man who is now the villain of the Keeping Up With the Kardashians franchise, was caught cheating on then PREGNANT Khloé. May I remind you that she was due to give brith to baby True in a matter of DAYS. TMZ released footage of Tristan hooking up with two women at a night club and then other outlets came forward with their own footage, which ended up implying that Tristan cheated with five women. Nonetheless, Khloé and Tristan stayed together for a while longer, until...

Tristan Thompson and Khloé Kardashian (a Third Time)

Poor girl. In one of the most outrageous Kardashian cheating scandals of all time, Tristan kissed Kylie Jenner’s BFF Jordyn Woods at a party when he was still dating Khloé. Khloé went IN on Jordyn on Twitter, but later on KUWTK she walked back some of her rage, saying, “As much as these people hurt us, I also know that if this can make them better and if I can be that person then…like, I know I’m strong enough to do that. It just sucks it has to be so public. No one understands how I’m not just a TV show. Like, this is my life and it breaks my soul and it’s happened so many times."

Kevin Hunter and Wendy Williams

Earlier this year, Wendy Williams filed for divorce from Kevin Hunter, her husband of more than 20 years, after he admitted to cheating on her and fathering a child with another woman. He released a statement, saying, “I am not proud of my recent actions and take full accountability and apologize to my wife, my family, and her amazing fans. I am going through a time of self-reflection and am trying to right some wrongs.”

Hugh Grant and Elizabeth Hurley

In 1995, Hugh Grant rocked Hollywood when he got arrested for “lewd conduct” with a sex worker in a public space—this went down, mind you, while he was dating Elizabeth Hurley. During an apology interview with Jay Leno, Hugh reflected, “I’ve done an abominable thing, and she’s [Elizabeth] been amazing about it, and contrary to what I read in the paper today, she’s been very supportive, and we’re going to try to work it out.” The couple stayed together for five more years before splitting up and are good friends to this day.

Brandi Glanville and Eddie Cibrian

Brandi Glanville’s ex-husband, Eddie Cibrian, cheated on her with LeAnn Rimes, and it caused a tabloid frenzy—especially since both LeAnn and Eddie divorced their respective partners and married each other. Brandi eventually wrote a tell-all book about the experience, detailing her first encounter with LeAnn (which happened to be on a double date with LeAnn and her husband, Dean Sheremet) and her realization that Eddie was cheating on her that night. Yowza.

Here’s the passage: “And this woman, whom I had just met, spent more time flirting with my husband than acknowledging her own. Princess Diana and Prince Charles

Prince Charles famously cheated on Princess Diana with Camilla Parker Bowles throughout their marriage. He allegedly even gave Camilla a personalized bracelet just two weeks before he wed Diana in 1981. Diana has famously said of his adultery, “There were three of us in this marriage, so it was a bit crowded.” Charles admitted to the affair in 1994, and he and Diana got divorced two years later.

Katharine McPhee and Nick Cokas

Katherine McPhee made headlines in 2013 when photos surfaced of her kissing Michael Morris, who was a director on her TV show Smash. The issue: Michael was married to his wife of 10 years, Mary McCormack, with whom he shares three children. And Katharine was also married to Nick Cokas at the time, although they had been separated. Mary and Michael ended up working things out, but Katharine filed for divorce later that year.

Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake

Okay, so it’s never been confirmed that Britney cheated on Justin when they were dating, but Justin’s “Cry Me a River” music video—which features a Britney looka-like—certainly suggests as much. In Justin’s memoir, Hindsight & All the Things I Can’t See in Front of Me, he talks about writing the song, saying, “I’ve been scorned. I’ve been pissed off. The feelings I had were so strong I had to write it. I translated my feelings into a form where people could listen and hopefully relate to it. People heard me and they understood it because we’ve all been there.”

Furthermore, when Britney was asked if she’d be unfaithful to Justin in an interview, she told ABC, “I’m not technically saying he’s wrong but I’m not technically saying he’s right either.” Sooo ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert

This is another one that’s never been officially confirmed, but Blake certainly hinted that Miranda Lambert cheated on him in a tweet last year. Some background: There was speculation that Miranda cheated on Blake with musician Anderson East, which lead to their 2015 divorce. Anderson and Miranda started dating, but they broke up after two years, and then Miranda started dating musician Evan Felker, who was married to a woman named Staci, all of which caused a major media frenzy.

This all leads us back to Blake, who hopped on Twitter amid news that Miranda was dating a married man to write: “Been taking the high road for a long time. I almost gave up. But I can finally see something on the horizon up there!! Wait!! Could it be?! Yep!! It’s karma!!”

Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert (Again)

But wait! There’s more! After Blake shot off that karma tweet, Miranda’s ex Jeff Allen accused Blake of also starting his relationship with Miranda when she was dating someone else. Jeff tweeted (and then deleted), “You know, i’ve always given you the benefit of the doubt and chalked it up to just being human. But you must be one arrogant SOB to pop off something like this, when I know damn good and well you were cheating on your wife and Miranda was cheating on me when you two started up.” Shots fired. Jeff then followed up with, “I kept my mouth shut for 13 years. Sorry, his karma tweet rubbed me wrong. All of this is pointless.”

Josh Duhamel and Fergie

To this day, Fergie and ex-husband Josh Duhamel deny that he cheated on her with an exotic dancer, but that didn’t stop tabloids from having a field day when the woman came forward and even passed a lie detector test about it. (Also, Josh’s rep very rudely released a statement saying, “This is not the first nor will it be the last time that a stripper was paid a large amount of money to sell a false story about a celebrity.”)

Fergie later opened up about the experience to Oprah, saying, “When you go through difficult times, it really makes you stronger as a unit, as a partnership. It does for us anyways. Our love today is a deeper love.”

Mod Sun and Bella Thorne

Mod Sun and Bella Thorne’s breakup messiness only rivals that of Noah Cyrus and Lil Xan, which is really saying something! Bella left a ton of her stuff at Mod’s house and even tried to break in to get it back—after which he called the cops on her. Mod also implied that Bella cheated on him, saying on The Domenick Nati Show, “I was faithful, but I’m not going to speak for her.” Hmm...

Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke

After Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke divorced in 2005, Uma told her side of the story to Oprah. At the time, there were rumors (which Ethan denied) that he had had an affair with a 22-year-old model. When Oprah asked if there was betrayal in their marriage, Uma replied, “There was some stuff like that at the end. We were having a difficult time, and you know how the axe comes down and how people behave and how people express their unhappiness. Our marriage failed.”

Years later in 2013, Ethan opened up about his feelings on sexual monogamy, telling Mr. Porter, “People have such a childish view of monogamy and fidelity. ‘He’s cheated so he’s bad, she’s cheated so she’s bad,’ as opposed to a recognition that our species is not monogamous. To act all indignant, that your world has been rocked because your lover wasn’t faithful to you, is a little bit like acting rocked that your hair went gray.”

Christie Brinkley and Peter Cook

Christie Brinkley and Peter Cook married in 1996 and split up a decade later, after it came out that Peter was having an affair with an 18-year-old. Peter tried to pay the other woman $300,000 to keep quiet, but she ended up testifying in the divorce proceedings.

A couple of years after the scandal, Peter gave an interview about it to Barbra Walters, saying, “I was seeking a connection I could not find in my own marriage. I think the emotional aspect of our lives had changed. I think we were both feeling more like we were living with a brother and sister than a life partner....I wanted a little acknowledgment, a little attention, a little thank you every now and then for my efforts, for the amount of time I took to care for her and my family, for the wealth I was building.” Sure, dude!

Tameka Foster and Usher

Usher and Tameka Foster wed in 2007 after Tameka got pregnant, and according to Usher, the marriage was rocky from the start. The couple went to counseling and eventually split in 2009—but not before Usher cheated. He told Oprah, “Towards the end of our marriage, I found myself lost and I just wanted out. I was faithful at heart, but not faithful all the way. Even having a conversation with another woman about matter of your relationship is not being faithful.”

Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne

Even though Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne have been married since 1982, they almost divorced due to Ozzy’s infidelity. Sharon opened up about it in an interview with The Telegraph, saying, “There wasn’t just one woman; there were six of them. Some Russian teenager, then a masseuse in England, our masseuse [in the U.S.], and then our cook...He had women in different countries. Basically, if you’re a woman giving Ozzy either a back rub or a trolley of food, God help you.” Ozzy also had a four-year-long relationship with hairstylist Michelle Pugh.

However, the couple worked things out and renewed their vows in 2017. Ozzy told Hello Magazine of the affairs, “I made a huge mistake. Without Sharon, I am nothing. I love her. I can honestly say that I have never loved anybody other than my wife.”

Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith have been vocal about their open marriage for some time, so it's debatable if Jada's admitted fling with August Alsina is actually considered cheating. Or, really, we should say her admitted "entanglement." During an episode of Jada's Facebook show Red Table Talk, Will came on as a guest and the two discussed the problems they had been having in their relationship.

When Will asked Jada about rumors about her and August, Jada said, "I got into an entanglement with August." But in an interview with radio host Angela Yee, August explained, "I actually sat down with Will and had a conversation. Due to the transformation from their marriage to (a) life partnership that they have spoken on several times, and not involving romanticism, he gave me his blessing." It's unclear what exactly went down, but at least one thing is true: Jada and August had an entanglement.

Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe

Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe got married in the late 1990s, and went on to have a son and daughter together. But the two divorced in 2007, and while Ryan said it was because they had gotten together so young, there were also a lot of rumors swirling about that he had cheated on Reese with his Stop Loss co-star Abbie Cornish.

The two don't talk about it a lot, but Ryan did once tell W Magazine that their marriage had been struggling before he had an affair, saying, "It was unfair for her [Cornish] to be called the names that she was, because it wasn't about that. I don't think an outside person can ever cause a divorce. I had difficulties in my relationship, and in my marriage, long before I ever met her."

David Letterman and Regina Lasko

In 2009, only a few months after marrying Regina Lasko (who he had been with for over 20 years), David Letterman admitted he had cheated. He admitted it himself when a producer of David's show tried to extort $2 million dollars from him after finding out he was having an affair with his assistant, Stephanie Birkitt. Yikes.

Instead of giving up the money, David went on his own show and admitted that he had slept with women who worked for him before. He also publicly apologized to Regina, and the two are still together..

Mario Lopez and Ali Landry

Mario Lopez and Ali Landry tied the knot in 2004, but their marriage didn't last very long. They got an annulment only two weeks later because Mario cheated on Ali.

Years after they ended things, Mario admitted he had indeed had an affair during an interview with Howard Stern on his Sirius XM radio show. Not only did he cheat, but he cheated just a few days before their wedding. He said, "It was my bachelor party. I had no business of being in that position." He added he had "messed around" with another woman.

Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade

Dwyane Wade fully admitted to not only cheating on Gabrielle Union, but also fathering a child with another woman. In an ESPN documentary, D. Wade: Life Unexpected, the former NBA star talked about telling Gabrielle that he had had a child with someone else.

Dwyane and Gabrielle began dating in 2008, but when the two went on a break in 2013, Dwyane ended up getting another woman pregnant. Here's a throwback cheating scandal: years ago, Debbie Reynolds, Eddie Fisher, and Elizabeth Taylor were all involved in a scandalous love triangle. Debbie and Eddie got married in 1955, but ended things four years later when Eddie left her for Elizabeth - who happened to be a friend of Debbie's.

Debbie and Elizabeth eventually rekindled their friendship. Years later, Debbie talked about being cheated on to The Express, saying, "My three husbands all left me for another woman and obviously I wasn’t a very sexual lady. My husbands all repeatedly said the same thing—that I was not a very passionate woman." She added, "It seemed that I was more interested in raising my children, not in pursuing my husbands."

Dita von Teese and Marilyn Manson

A year after they got married, Dita von Teese filed for divorce from Marilyn Manson amidst rumors that he had cheated on her with Evan Rachel Wood.
