Whether or not your drugstore has set out its Halloween candy yet, fall is officially here—and with it, Pinterest's annual round-up of the platform's most popular Halloween costume ideas. It's a gift. The top trending ideas are a mixed bag, from the huge pop culture moments you're going to see at every party (Mamma Mia overalls) to the ones slightly more out of left field, like Edna Mode. On the beauty front, the report brought us nine Halloween looks with makeup that were made for pulling together at the last moment.

Kicking things off with a fitting surprise, the statistics from Pinterest's 300 million Halloween ideas say pins of pumpkin makeup are up 884 percent. I repeat: pumpkin makeup, and not in the sense of drawing a pumpkin on your cheek and calling it a costume. In classic Pinterest style, people are taking it next-level—and ultra-realistic.

At 158 percent up, "celestial" is the second most-trending Halloween makeup look. It made the red carpet rounds, and the heightened version is enough to turn any all-black outfit into a costume.

And likewise on the nail front, stitch nails ticked up a 32 percent rise.

And if all else fails, take heart in the low bar. Pinterest says that cow costumes are up 680%, which is an inexplicable moo-d.
