Here Are the Most Reviewed Perfumes for Every Single State
Move over Kim Kardashian West! Despite the reality mogul’s best attempts to be top dog when it comes to fragrance, even gifting her enemies with their very own bottles of her newly launched wares, its’s a *different* scent brand that reigns supreme in the US, and it’s a one you most likely misted yourself with back in high school.
Beauty product review site Influenster gathered information from more than a whopping 250,000 organic reviews, with the majority of reviewers (45 percent) falling into the 18 to 24 age bracket. From there, they broke down their top fragrance review findings by state (similar to the study Fragrance.com did last year) for Valentine’s Day. While we might have expected Kim Kardashian West’s Crystal Gardenia fragrances (which sold a whopping $10 million in the first day alone), to lead the pack, it was actually a classic old school brand that took home top honors when it came to review count.
In the lead with no less than 15 states giving feedback on one of its perfumes of Love Spell (which took home 15,000 reviews alone ($18)), Noir Tease ($55), PINK With a Splash ($16), Bombshell ($25), Pure Seduction ($11), or Dream Angels Heavenly ($73), was Victoria’s Secret.
That’s right! The same ‘90s scent you loved in high school is still reigning supreme today — at least as far as 30 percent of the country’s sniffers are concerned.
Other honorable mentions included Bath and Body Works, which claimed the top spot in five states with its Pink Chiffon ($73) and Thousand Wishes ($14) fragrances, Dior (noted for both J’Adore, $75, and Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet, $80) and Yves Saint Laurent (Black Opium ($91), Mon Paris ($70).
