Here Are the Most Popular Registry Items on Bed Bath & Beyond
Your must-have wedding registry list is out. Bed Bath & Beyond released its most popular wedding registry items on Thursday, February 6, and couples looking to build out their newlywed nests with cool and contemporary products should take note.
In 2019, registrants were especially focused on food. Whether products were related to storage, utensils, kitchen tools or nifty machines to create at-home meals, the brand’s most popular products across registries were related to dining in some way. Drinkware also remained top of mind for newlyweds seeking everything from high-quality tumblers to approachable red vs. white wine glasses for entertainment purposes.

Another hot-button registry category was sleep-focused. With wellness continuing to wrap itself into everyday lifestyles, couples registering on Bed Bath & Beyond in 2019 were especially keen on bedding (linens) and bedding basics like foam pillows, mattresses and more.
While the singular most popular registry item varied by state (see the graphic below), trends have remained consistent in the last year. Price, of course, is a factor too for guests.
According to The Knot Guest Study of 2019, wedding attendees spend an average of $120 on a gift whether it was via cash funds or products. However, this number oscillates depending on the guest’s relationship to the couple, so close friends and family members will be more generous as opposed to someone in the wedding party, who has already presumably paid a good amount for say, a bach party or their own wedding day attire. Casual friends and distant colleagues will also put down less.
