Shoppers have spoken and America’s favorite grocery store of the year is here.
Drumroll, please…
Wegmans. Yep, according to an annual survey by Market Force, the New York–based chain has stolen shoppers’ hearts for the third year in a row. This year, 13,000 people were surveyed on categories like cleanliness, service, best products and value, and the competition was fierce. (FYI, Wegmans scored 77 percent for customer loyalty, with Publix trailing at 76 percent and Trader Joe’s at 75 percent.) Rounding out the top five spots were Publix, Trader Joe’s, Aldi and H-E-B, respectively.
Why Wegmans? It could be the friendly employees, item availability and top-notch customer service…or perhaps the sprawling prepared food bar and plentiful cheese samples.
(It’s definitely the cheese samples.)
