Moschino and H&M Have a Few More Surprises in Store for Their November Drop. For One? Petwear!

Every year, H&M collaborates with a high-end fashion label. For 2018, it’s Moschino, as Gigi Hadid and Vogue Runway revealed way back during Coachella season. However, as the November 8 launch date approaches—in what will almost undoubtedly be a frenzied, massively successful drop given Moschino’s punchy graphics and all-eyes-on-me swagger—the company is revealing a few more tricks up its sleeves. Most adorably: Petwear—a first-ever endeavor in these linkups—and another capsule-within-a-collection, with Disney.

Most fashion fans know that Moschino is designed by Jeremy Scott, the vivacious and sometimes outrageous creator known for sending out dresses depicting interpretations of Snickers logos, McDonald’s arches, SpongeBob, and more. Fashion for pets makes sense; the Moschino universe welcomes everyone, including animals. Here, Scott, though not a pet parent himself, answers a few questions on the capsule—and his (perhaps) future terrier.

Do you have any pets?

No, sadly I don’t! I love dogs, though and would love to have a little terrier. I’d name it Matinee!

Tell us about this little guy here, in the pictures . . .

I mean, look at that face! You just melt. And he loves wearing the clothes. Plus, he knows how to ride a skateboard. How cool is that?

Do you have a favorite breed of dog?

I think chows look insane! I feel like they are so otherworldly—but I don’t think I could have one as a pet. They’re total superstars, though. I do love a pink poodle!

Have you ever had a pet line before?

No, and that is why I am so excited about this! At first, H&M asked if I would do a kids component for the collections, as I have both my own Jeremy Scott kids line as well as a Moschino one. I thought I’d rather do something I have never done before—and I’ve been really wanting to put out a pet line.

Do you have a favorite piece?

Well, I love the puffer vest with the chain print—it is so cute. But, there’s a collar with the iconic gold Moschino letters on it. That is, for sure, the most important of the pieces. It’s a classic.

The Moschino [tv] H&M collection will be available online and in select H&M stores worldwide on November 8.
