Morgan Wallen's team is clearing up the speculation regarding the recent last-minute cancellation of his concert in Oxford, Miss. over the weekend.

For those who need a refresher on the situation, the country music star devastated fans at his concert on Sunday, April 23, when it was abruptly announced that he would not be performing just minutes before he was set to go onstage.

Concertgoers who had already packed the Vaught Hemingway Stadium were told that Wallen, 29, lost his voice and therefore couldn't perform, but someone who claimed to be a member of security for the stadium later suggested on TikTok that the country crooner was actually too drunk to perform—a claim that Wallen's label is now vehemently denying.

In an attempt to shut down the rumors, Big Loud CEO Seth England took to Instagram to re-post a message from the venue's security, BEST Crowd Management, who clarified that the employee "made false claims" about Wallen's reason for canceling the show.

"Thank you @bestcrowdmanagement for correcting your employee, who made up an entire story that was nowhere close to true," England wrote on his own Instagram Story on Tuesday, April 25. "Every detail was false. Laughable what some people will just say for a reaction.”

He concluded with the words, “Don’t Believe Everything You Read," while sharing a link to the official Instagram page for BEST Crowd Management.

After Sunday's no-show, one fan filed a lawsuit against the "Whiskey Glasses" singer, claiming that the venue had yet to refund her ticket, despite the announcement that reimbursements would be available.

"Even if ticket prices are refunded, no offer has been made to reimburse concertgoers for other out-of-pocket expenses they incurred in connection with the concert cancellation, including transportation, lodging, food, merchandise sales, transaction fees and other such expenses," read the complaint, as Parade previously reported.

The plaintiff—a fan by the name of Brandi Burcham—was suing the entertainer for breach of contract and negligence, though TMZ later reported that Burcham filed to dismiss the lawsuit without prejudice, meaning it can be refiled at a later date.
