Morgan Wallen's son Indigo experienced a terrifying accident.

On Sunday, the 2-year-old was rushed to the ER after he was attacked by his mom KT Smith's dog, Legend.

In an Instagram Story shared on Monday, June 19, Smith uploaded a video explaining what happened.

"Yesterday, [Legend] bit Indigo in the face and [he] had to have stitches and we spent yesterday morning at the emergency room," she said. "Since then, we have been looking for options, and I just couldn't bring myself to [do] what everyone else says and what you're supposed to [do] apparently."

She continued, "What the world tells you to do is to put the dog down because they are aggressive, and I’ve gone back and forth with that and I knew in my heart that he does not deserve that because he is wonderful and could do really great with a family who doesn’t have small children and maybe just has like a lot of land and just won’t be like crawled over and stuff like that. I don't want him to go to a kill shelter either and shelters are full."

Smith asked her followers for help rehoming the dog, noting that besides Legend's issues with Indigo, he "hadn't shown a bit of aggression" before the incident and is "great with other dogs."

Hours after sharing her video, Smith gave an update on what's happening to Legend.

"We just dropped Legend off with the sweetest family, where he will be living his full potential and best life on a farm. I couldn't have asked for a better family for him to be loved on by. And they're East Tennesseans so we can visit any time we need to. Thank you guys again, for helping but also crying with me and lifting me up," she wrote in the new Instagram Story.

Wallen and Smith met on Snapchat, dating from 2016 through 2019. The country singer has yet to comment on his son's injury.
