Moon Knight Is Dead, Reborn In Black Suit For New 2024 Series

As Marc Spector dies off in issue 30 of Moon Knight at the end of this year, a new book by the creative team of Jed MacKay and Allessandro Cappucio will relaunch the hero in a dramatic new outfit.

Vengeance of Moon Knight debuts in 2024 and picks up after the death of Spector at the hands of Black Spectre. It will continue with the same creative team of the acclaimed Moon Knight run, but feature a new avatar for Egyptian moon god Khonshu, dressed in black mourning.

"We needed a new black suit in this series so here we are,” said artis Cappucio. “For the design, I took inspiration from ancient Egyptian banded armor while trying to stay true to the mood of the character."

“I replaced the classic batons with similar weapons that are reminiscent of the flowers of the Nile as depicted in the hieroglyphics," he added. "He is a new Moon Knight in both appearance and spirit and needed a change of look to suit the situation as you will see.”

A variation of Moon Knight will also feature heavily in a Timeless one-shot from Marvel, also due at the start of the year. It focuses on Power Man, the last surviving superhero, as he takes on the Immortal Moon Knight. You can see more Moon Knight in next year’s major crossover event, Blood Hunt.
