Easton Oliverson's "very favorite baseball" player gave him a shoutout.

Here's your feel good news for the day: Los Angeles Dodgers All-Star Mookie Betts shared some kind words with Easton Oliverson—the Utah Little Leaguer who was left severely injured after falling from a bed bunk earlier this week.

In a video message posted to the official Instagram page for Easton, the 29-year-old baseball player wished the injured 12-year-old from Santa Clara, Utah, nicknamed "Tank," a speedy recovery and let the Little Leaguer know that the LA Dodgers were thinking of him.

"Hey Easton, it's Mookie Betts, I just wanted you to know that we are praying for you, thinking of you and I hope to see you soon, my man," he said in the video.

The post's caption also revealed that this message meant more to the boy—and his family—than anyone could have imagined.

"Jace and Nancy received the sweetest surprise for Easton this morning. His VERY favorite player @mookiebetts reached out to show his support and love💙," it read.

The Instagram page dedicated to Easton's recovery also shared that his favorite football team, the Brigham Young University Cougars, reached out to wish him well.

"Easton’s all time favorite football team sent him this thoughtful video today💙🤍 GO COUGS!!" the caption read.

According to the original Facebook post made on behalf of Easton, he was set to play in the Little League World Series tournament in Williamsport, Pennsylvania—a first for his home state Little League—when he fell from a bunk bed at the dormitory he and his fellow Snow Canyon teammates were staying at on Aug. 14, one day before their first game.

Easton's father, Jace Oliverson, told local reporters with KSL-TV that his son's life-threatening injuries were purely accidental.

"He just hit the ground super hard. Fractured his head. Fractured his cheekbone," he said. "Fell about 6 feet high. It was carpeted, but it's a pretty hard floor. But he just unfortunately just landed right."

Immediately following the tragic accident, the Little Leaguer was airlifted to the local children's hospital where he was stabilized and taken into surgery for a brain bleed.

"He had what was called an epidural hematoma. He fractured his skull and in the meantime punctured an artery outside the brain which caused the bleeding," Easton's father stated in the Facebook post.

He continued: "They were able to successfully remove the hematoma and stop the bleeding. His pupils were extremely dilated but with the piece of skull removed and hematoma removed and the bleeding being stopped they've come back down and seem to be functioning normally. It is now a waiting game neurologically."

Just yesterday, the family offered another update to their son's condition and it was an optimistic one.

The post detailed a dramatic recovery for the young boy, who is now responsive and alert.

"Easton’s favorite baseball player @mookiebetts sent him a video showing his support. Jace showed him the video this morning, and he started to cry. I don’t think we can emphasize enough how grateful we are for the love, support, and prayers. Jace wanted me to emphasize that while Easton is making TREMENDOUS progress, he still has a very long road ahead. We are asking for you to continue to send prayers. We know that Easton is capable, but with his prayer army behind him-he can be unstoppable!" the post read, in part.
