Brendan Gallagher's girlfriend Emma Fortin shares engagement photos: 'Magical'

Brendan Gallagher and Emma Fortin are tying the knot!

On Sunday, the Montreal Canadiens' forward shared the joyous news of his engagement to Fortin with a shared Instagram post from Los Lake in Whistler, B.C.

The NHL star captured himself down on one knee, popping the question while Fortin stood in front of him with her hands over her mouth, in shock.

He also shared a snap of the pair hugging afterward as well as a black and white photo of Fortin's left hand, showing off her stunning engagement ring.

"07.07.2023," the caption reads. "Forever and always."

Fortin shared an Instagram story reiterating the good news and revealing Gallagher proposed at the same location her parents got engaged — 30 years prior.

"Magical," she added.

Fans enthusiastically responded with an outpouring of congratulations on the announcement.

"This is so cute! I love this for you both. Congratulations!" one Instagram user commented.

Another wrote: "So happy for you guys. Wow," alongside a heart emoji.

"You guys are the cutest," someone else shared.

"Amazing news!" another penned.

In October, the couple celebrated their one year anniversary. Gallagher marked the occasion with an "adorable" Instagram photo of the pair posing in front of a brick wall in a black crewneck sweatshirt, and Fortin in a matching black suede jacket.

"Happy one year, my human," he captioned the photo. "My forever person," Fortin replied in the comments, while fans swooned over the loved up duo.

"Couple goals! You two are my favourite ever," a fan commented. "Cute as f—-," another person shared.

One Instagram user echoed: "OMG. So cute."

"Perfect for each other," someone else wrote, while another added, "I'm so happy for you guys."
