Montour Falls Library now accepting book sale donations

MONTOUR FALLS, N.Y. (WETM) – The Montour Falls Library is now accepting book sale donations for a limited time.

Donation collections began on Monday, May 20, and will continue until Saturday, June 1.

Those who would like to donate are asked to bring items during open library hours and to not leave them outside the building or in the book drop.

Library hours are Monday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The library will be accepting a variety of items for donation, including the following:

  • Hardcover and paperback fiction books of all ages

  • Nonfiction published in 2015 or later

  • Cookbooks

  • Audiobooks, DVDs, music CDs and vinyl records

  • Puzzles and board games in good condition

The following items will not be accepted for donation:

  • Magazines, newspapers, journals, catalogs or manuals

  • Textbooks, reference books, encyclopedias or dictionaries

  • VHS tapes, cassette tapes or 8-tracks

  • Items in poor or dirty condition

Anyone who is planning on bringing items to donate should be aware that the library staff reserves the right to sort through donations and return unacceptable items to the owner. Space and recycling capacity is limited.
