The Doctors are discussing the report that January is the month of the year when more people step out on their relationship. According to an extramarital dating website, they experienced a spike in activity on their site of 320 percent at the start of the new year.
Clinical psychologist Dr. Judy Ho says for many the holidays are stressful and for some going outside of their relationship is an escape. She notes this is a harmful example of an escape behavior.

The Doctors say the higher rates of divorces in March are also possibly linked to the reported higher rates of January infidelity.
