Montgomery Museum of Art & History’s annual ‘Arts Loves NRV Market’ returns in June

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Va. (WFXR)– The Montgomery Museum of Art & History is hosting its annual Arts Loves NRV Market in Downtown Christiansburg on Friday, June 7, and Saturday, June 8.

The event will have over 30 regional art and craft vendors with artwork for sale, local art demonstrators on display, a wine garden, delicious food from Copper Dog & Co. Food Truck, and an arts-based raffle.

Also, the event will feature the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA) On The Road Traveling Museum Artmobile, a state-of-the-art trailer equipped with Wi-Fi and interactive components. Guests will be invited to step inside and experience authentic works of art from VMFA’s collection from all corners of the Commonwealth. Stops are selected from among the museum’s Statewide Partners program which includes 1,000 locations, from community centers to small museums, to the state’s colleges and universities.

This year, VMFA is bringing their ‘Love, Laughter, Tears: An Artists’ Guide to Emotions’ exhibit to the market.

The Arts Loves NRV will run on June 7 from 12:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and on June 8 from 10:00 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Following the event on June 7, the museum is hosting a painting class for adults only led by Ruth Lefko and David Ferrell. The cost is $45 and will include a canvas, materials, and one glass of wine.
