If you’re looking for a beautifully designed space to stay in Montauk this summer, look no further than designer Robert McKinley’s largest bungalow design yet: The Edison Bungalow, a 4,200-square-foot home that can fit up to 10 guests and is filled with Instagrammable interiors.

Situated on 1.6 acres, the dwelling boasts five bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms and is now available to rent for $4,500 a night from Monday to Thursday, and $6,000 a night from Friday to Sunday, with a three night minimum.

The Edison Bungalow features private beach access, a media room, fitness studio, and a three-car garage with a private driveway. McKinley and his partner, Kate Nauta, took inspiration from Axel Vervoordt, Jacques Cousteau, and Peter Beard when designing this minimalist home, which is complete with wide plank pine floors and a cedar shake exterior.

“We cleaned up the older, existing decorative profiles in the home in order to create room for contemporary pieces,” said McKinley in a release. “Everything feels more down-to-earth this way, and allows for the bones of the property and the materiality to shine through.”

Notable design elements of the home include lime-washed walls from Domingue Finishes, a tile backsplash by Stan Bitters from Heath Ceramics, and kitchen appliances from Gaggenau.

Prior to renting out this property, McKinley and Nauta performed a gut renovation of the existing kitchen and revamped the landscaping, including updating the front porch, adding a new roof, and replacing existing windows and doors.

Plus, this particular bungalow is located near a bevy of Montauk hot spots, including Gurney's Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa.
