Monochromatic Mustard Wedding Inspiration at the Barn at Green Valley
A nontraditional monochromatic color palette and the barn wedding venue of our dreams? Umm, yes please! Who knew mustard could be such a gorgeous foundation for your wedding!? The minute we laid eyes on these cheerful blooms by Tumbleweed Floral Truck - we were sold. Captured by Carlie Statsky with planning and design from Brannan Events, these designs are guaranteed to inspire you to think outside the green and blush box when deciding on the perfect palette for your Big Day - here's proof the results are oh-so worth it!
From Carlie Statsky... This monochromatic mustard design was inspired by the colors of spring and the laid back rustic elegance of Paula Le Duc's new venue called The Barn at Green Valley.
From Elise of Brannan Events...When designing our shoot, I wanted to create something colorful, unique and unexpected! Working with tone on tone seemed like a fun, creative challenge and both Kaylia, of Tumbleweed Floral Truck, and I love mustard, so a Monochromatic Mustard shoot sounded like it would be totally fabulous!
When we saw the Barn at Green Valley at an open house, we knew it was the perfect canvas for the shoot! The goal with the shoot is to give brides a fresh way to look at their wedding color palette; because we do see so many brides with the same color interest/palettes (ie White, Sage and Blush). Pushing design boundaries can be so fun and we . If you have the right team it can be eclectic, elevated, and timeless! I thought bringing in unique textures in unexpected places would be a good way to keep our monochromatic palette interesting, and give it depth.
he stationer added in paint strokes, by hand, to the paper goods. I created embroidered place-cards and menus with her calligraphy as the template on velvet linen. The handmade yarn tassels added a playfulness to any detail it was included with. Our textural tabletop accents, like the personal honeycombs and dried florals, brought extra whimsy. The floral palette was gorgeous and so unique, yet it tied everything in together! How do you make a bride standout in monochromatic shoot? Simple, she goes for a complimentary color. While we brought in many different shades or golds, yellows and mustards, we knew it would be crucial to break it up with some tan and creams (and even small pops of salmon). The bride adorned a sparkle beige dress, which made her a beam of radiance throughout every scene! While the groom rocked a full mustard colored tux! With gorgeous florals, fun decor, fresh cocktails, and rolling green hills, we really couldn't have asked for a better day!
