A mom captured a priceless photo of her sons during a family outing – and the internet is obsessed.

Marika Daniels took to Instagram to post a photo of her three boys holding rubber fish, Levi, 4; Logan, 3; and Landon, who is 18 months old, at the Children’s Museum of South Dakota on June 30.

Daniels, who recently moved with her family to Eau Claire, Wis. from South Dakota, tells Yahoo Lifestyle that she asked her sons to pose together to replicate a photo she had taken the year prior.

“They have a little fishing pond there which was their favorite part of the museum,” Daniels says. “I took a picture of the two older ones holding their fish last year so I wanted to get another one to compare the two pictures a year apart.”

She asked the kids to hold up their fish to their face. “The other two did,” she says. “Landon took it literally.”

The mom realized that her youngest son didn’t quite follow her instructions.

“When I took the picture, I honestly didn't realize Landon put the fish in his mouth because I was trying to get the attention of the two older ones to look at my camera,” Daniels says. “I didn't realize the type of picture I took until I looked at my pictures later.”

People got a kick out of the photo, and it quickly turned into a meme on Facebook, with the caption “Every family has that one kid” superimposed on it. Hundreds of people tagged their friends and commented about how they have that “one kid” in their family, too.

“I have to save this picture. What a great quilt top this would make,” one person commented.

“Every time I see this I have to share it. It makes me laugh till my eyes water every time!” another wrote.

The mom didn’t expect her photo to blow up on the internet at all.

“Never in a million years did I think it would go viral like this,” she says. “My original intent with the photo was to enter it in the Ellen DeGeneres' 'Rate my baby' contest.”

Still, she’s happy that the photo has had such a positive impact on people.

“I think the world needs to laugh and smile more,” Daniels says. “And I think this picture helped with that.”

The mom of three describes Landon as a “funny kid” who is always making people laugh. She isn’t really sure what he thinks of the picture, but tells Yahoo Lifestyle that he “looks at it and just smiles.”
