Many people think that the famous Great Dane is the tallest dog breed in the world, but that title actually goes to the Irish Wolfhound. This massive dog breed is another example of a Gentle Giant, though even the sweetest of puppies can have a wild side to them. Just ask @bruhpuppy, who has two Irish Wolfhounds (and an adorable Miniature Schnauzer).
This dog mom compares her two Wolfhounds, one puppy and one fully grown, in a viral TikTok video that has everyone talking. It really reminded us how big these dogs can get!

OMG! Arlo, who's fully grown, is absolutely massive. He could probably steal food off of most tables with minimal effort, but he also seems like a very good boy. His little brother Paddington, though, still has all that puppy energy!
It's encouraging to see TikTok viewers asking more about the breed, since people mostly know Wolfhounds for their size. @Ghostgirl383 asked, "Are they gentle giants? What are their temperaments?"
Most Wolfhound owners will agree that these dogs are gentle giants, though they can be goofy and even bold when they need to be. Even though they'll bark to alert and scare some people off with their gigantic size, they'll be more than happy to spend down time with their owners.

This breed seems like the perfect companion for an owner or family who can give them consistent training, proper nutrition, and tons of love. You may need to make some adjustments to accommodate their size, but the love you'll get in return will make it all worth it.
