Ahead, see every highlight and big moment you may have missed from film’s biggest night of the year.

Emily Blunt and Ryan Gosling jokingly fight about Barbenheimer

Emily Blunt and Ryan Gosling took the stage together to present an award, and while up there, jokingly argued about Barbenheimer—the cultural phenomenon that surrounded last summer’s simultaneous theatrical release of Barbie (which Gosling stars in) and Oppenheimer (which Blunt stars in).

“I’m just happy we can finally put this Barbenheimer rivalry behind us,” Gosling said, to which Blunt replied, “The way this award season has turned out, it wasn’t that much of a rivalry, so just let it go!”

“It’s true, you guys are doing very well, congratulations,” Gosling joked, before adding one final jab: “But, you know, I think I kind of figured out why they call it ‘Barbenheimer’ and they didn’t call it ‘Oppenbarbie.’ I think you guys are at the tail end of that ’cause you were riding Barbie’s coattails all summer!” he said, to laughs and cheers from the audience.

Da’Vine Joy Randolph gave an emotional acceptance speech

Da’Vine Joy Randolph took home the award for Actress in a Supporting Role for her role as Mary Lamb in Alexander Payne’s The Holdovers, and gave an emotional speech in which she thanked her mother, who encouraged her to pursue acting when she was younger.

“My mother said to me: Go across that street to that theater department—there’s something for you there. I thank my mother for doing that. I thank all the people who have stepped in my path and have been there for me and ushered me and guided me—I am so grateful for all you beautiful people out there,” Randolph said. “I prayed for so long … I always wanted to be different, but now I realize that I just need to be myself. I thank you for you seeing me.”

John Cena walked onstage naked—so naked

John Cena sidled onstage entirely naked, other than a pair of Birkenstocks, to present the Best Costume Design award, which ultimately went to Poor Things. While at the mic in front of the celebrity crowd—truly a scene from everyone’s worst nightmare—Cena joked about the importance of clothes, before, eventually, host Jimmy Kimmel threw him a gown to cover himself up with.

Ryan Gosling delivered the performance of a lifetime

The actor gave a hilariously magnificent performance of “I’m Just Ken,” from Greta Gerwig’s Barbie, in a bright pink suit, accompanied by other Kens dressed in black cowboy looks.

The original song was nominated for an Academy Award tonight.

At one point during the performance, legendary guitarist Slash got up next to Gosling and played; and toward the end, Gosling descended the stage and passed the mic to his Barbie family: Greta Gerwig, Margot Robbie, and America Ferrera. He also let longtime friend and La La Land costar Emma Stone sing a part—like the real-life Ken he is.

Robert Downey Jr. gave a funny, touching acceptance speech

Robert Downey Jr. thanked both his wife and his lousy childhood in a touching speech as he accepted the Actor in a Supporting Role award for his performance in Oppenheimer. “I’d like to thank my terrible childhood and the Academy, in that order,” he started.

After claps from the audience, the actor shifted the spotlight to his wife. “I'd like to thank my veterinarian—I mean, wife—Susan Downey over there. She found me a snarly rescue pet and she loved me back to life,” he said. “That’s why I’m here.”

Jimmy Kimmel roasted Donald Trump

Toward the end of the ceremony, the Oscars host hilariously roasted Donald Trump by sharing a comment the former U.S. president posted on his social media platform Truth Social while watching the awards show from home. “Has there EVER been a WORSE HOST than Jimmy Kimmel at The Oscars? His opening was that of a less than average person trying too hard to be something which he is not, and can never be,” the critical comment began.

“Thanks for watching, but isn’t it past your jail time?” Kimmel said in response, referring to Trump’s ongoing court cases, which could land him in prison.
