Moment Senior Persian Cat Adopts Abandoned Kitten As His Own Is So Moving

TikTok user @_kcamille and her family were on a vacation trip in Tennessee when they spotted a tiny orange thing off the side of the freeway. They decided to stop and upon investigation, they found a kitten.

They couldn't leave this nearly 2-3 week old kitten so they decided to bring her on the road trip back to California. They bought what they needed for her, gave her a flea bath, and two days later she was home. And their current Persian Cat gave her the warmest welcome!

Be still our hearts! We seriously can't stop the happy tears from streaming down our faces. This is the most heartwarming video we've seen. First of all, it takes a special type of person to rescue an animal like this. And secondly, to do it in a state you don't even live in is truly remarkable. Now this kitten has a new fatherly figure in Mr. Bojangles.

"So sweet! Persian cats are so loving and it looks like it was meant to be," wrote @maryhasinsky. Right?! Normally it takes cats a while to warm up to each other, but it's as if Mr. Bojangles was born to be a father!

We're so glad this family decided to rescue the kitten. And we're even more glad they knew to check her for fleas as many stray or abandoned cats have them. If you ever rescue a kitten, definitely be on the lookout for fleas. Very young kittens might not be big enough to rescue flea prevention, so instead, a simple flea bath will do. Plus, you'll want to vacuum around the house, change and wash bedding, and, use a flea comb to get rid of them for good. Continue the bath steps until there are no more fleas around.
