Moment 'Lady' Mule 'Gets Offended' After Being Mistakenly Called a 'He' Has People Laughing

Part of the beauty of being human is that you can be whoever you want to be. You can change the way you look or the name you call yourself, and you can identify as whatever gender feels the most like you. And whoever you may be, you have every reason to be proud of your individuality!

And the same goes for animals, too. They each have their own interests and personalities, and that's just another reason to love them. Whether you're talking about a litter of pet kittens or a herd of farm animals, each individual is one in a million.

Needless to say, it can get overwhelming to keep track of so many individuals if you work or live with a lot of animals. Calling a furry friend by the wrong name or pronouns is all too common, though most animals are willing to let the mistake slide.

Not McMuffin! This sassy rescue mule has personality to spare, and she's not afraid to tell somebody when they're wrong. So when one of her rescuers mistakenly called her a 'he' in late November, she wasted no time correcting her. Take a look!

LMAO! Hopefully, this mule's breath wasn't too stinky because that was personal! Her rescuer, Ally, got an earful from the rescued mule, even though it was Ally's wife behind the camera who called her a 'big boy.' He must've been telling her to correct her wife, or else!

Needless to say, everyone in the comment section was laughing just as hard as the horse rescuers after this funny little slip-up. Tons of viewers love the animal's big personality just as much as they love the girls' compassion for their horses and mules, or equine hybrids. It turns out that, while McMufin is only a temporary resident, she's already feeling comfortable enough to speak her mind. Now, that's what I love to see, especially with a mule who's experienced so much trauma. Love really can heal the heart!

Running an Animal Sanctuary Means Opening Your Home to Animals in Need

It's easy to see why everyone's sending Ally and her wife so much praise for helping this injured mule... and for helping all of their horses and equine hybrids! The gentle way Ally touches and leads the rescue animal is so heartwarming, and she does nothing but smile as her new four-legged friend basically yells in her face. Clearly, she's no stranger to situations like this!

Ally and her wife run Colby's Crew Rescue in Charlottesville, Virginia, as well as the popular TikTok account, @ohkaytacos. They love to share their rescue horses' stories and updates as they heal from injuries and abuse, but it's the silly moments like this that make viewers like me feel the most hopeful. If this lady mule feels safe enough to have such a genuine reaction in front of her new friends, they must be doing amazing work.
