Every loving animal owner will do everything they can to keep their four-legged friends feeling both healthy and happy. Of course, no one can prevent certain inevitable life events, but helping an animal heal can be the biggest act of love imaginable.

Many equestrians and horse owners understand this, but the owner of one chestnut horse named Adonis took her love for him to the next level after his brother, Wolfe, passed away on September 13. The grieving horse was as heartbroken as can be, but his owner knew exactly who he needed--his mom!

Over 150 thousand viewers have seen the sweet reunion between mom and son on the horse's TikTok account, @adonisantics, and there's not a dry eye in the house. It's been three years apart for these two, but now Nirvana is home with her baby, helping him heal.

How beautiful! Adonis perked right up when he first saw his mama, and he seemed even more at ease when they were finally nose to nose. This is another priceless example of how a mother's love can heal almost anything. The brown horse will be grieving his brother, of course, but he'll find so much companionship in Nirvana, too.

"You got your horse his mama," commented @dilligaf185, "that's so adorable." Isn't it? Whether or not Adonis knew it was his mother, he sure seemed to appreciate the interaction and love. We can only imagine how much he's missing Wolfe, but hopefully this new relationship will help him feel like himself again.

As veterinarian Kenneth Marcella, DVM explains, horses experience intense emotions--including grief--just like many other animals. In fact, many equine veterinarians see how concerned horse owners can be when their animals start to exhibit grief-stricken behaviors. Horses love, miss, and grieve those they're close to, so Adonis's owner made the right call by taking action to help the horse calm down. Now that his mama horse is around, we hope they both can feel like their best selves again.
