Mom thought she ordered small backpacks for her kids, but received huge ones instead

This mom on TikTok ordered small backpacks for her toddlers that were as big as the kids themselves, and viewers can’t stop cracking up over the hilarious visual.

A new school year means new school supplies, and when it comes to backpacks, size matters, especially when you’re barely in kindergarten. TikToker and parent Taylor Negley (@taynegley) discovered this when the backpacks she had ordered ended up being bigger than expected, and the backpack-to-child ratio very much amused viewers.

The clip opens with the text “Ordered my toddlers small backpacks, but these showed up instead,” over footage of Negley’s son ready for school with his hair neatly combed as he carries a white backpack, covered in large smiley face prints, that’s about the same size as he is.

Following Negley’s son is her daughter, sporting pigtails and carrying a matching backpack with pink smiley faces that’s also equally as big as she is. With their bags stuffed to the brim, the kids start waddling across their school’s parking lot like two baby turtles making their way from the shore to the ocean, as the video comes to a close.

Viewers took to the comments to gush over the adorably funny scene and offer some tips.

“If they fall back, they are protected,” one user joked.

This Brooklyn home office gets a California-inspired makeover with just $1,000:

“Cutest thing ever is driving past the elementary school and seeing all the kindergarten through third graders with backpacks bigger than themselves,” mentioned one TikToker.

“Maybe they meant little children can fit and take a nap in them,” one viewer jokingly reasoned.

“I think that they are meant for carrying your toddlers,” agreed another TikToker.

It won’t be long before Negley’s kids grow into their backpacks, but at least this hysterical video will last forever!

With just $1,000 and one day, this Harlem bedroom gets a brand new look:
