As a parent, you'd probably know that kids go through phases and certainly love autonomy and having a say in how their bedroom should look. And while some kids love pink everything, especially thanks to the Barbie movie, others love rainbow anything.

DIYer @thesimplydistressed, who's also a mom, can relate to that and showed the world how to create the look of wallpaper without the hassle. Let's check it out!

I'd say mission accomplished!

This is a great way to add a pop of color and a cheerful ambiance to any room, and it's quite easy to achieve.

To create the rainbow wallpaper pattern, you'll need to get paint in various rainbow colors, such as red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet, as well as paintbrushes, carbon paper, and a pencil. You can either buy individual paint cans or get a set of small sample pots.

Make sure the wall surface is clean and smooth before you start your DIY project.

When you're ready to paint the rainbows onto the wall, first decide on the type of design you want to create, such as horizontal bands of color, a curved arch, or even a diagonal pattern. Then print a picture of your chosen rainbow design on carbon paper and just trace it onto the wall using a pencil.

You could also just draw the design directly on the wall if that's easier.

After the design is drawn to the wall, you can start with the outer sections first and move inward, or you can start inward and then move outward, as this DIYer does in the video, and repeat the process with each of the other rainbow designs.

You could also switch up the order of the rainbow colors to make it more unique if you'd like.

The great part about this is that it's renter-friendly, as you can just paint over them if you want to switch it up again.
