Mom has perfect Christmas gift wrap hack using toddler’s drawings

Instead of buying wrapping paper, a mom is having her son do this one thing every week until Christmas.

The holidays are always about who we spend them with more than what we receive. It’s no wonder TikTok mom Chelsy McMaryion wanted a way to make gift-giving even more sentimental this year. The mama decided to ditch gift wrap in favor of her son’s drawings.

“Not buying wrapping paper this year and only using my toddler’s drawings to wrap everyone’s presents,” the video text said.

McMaryion placed a giant sheet of paper on the floor in the living room. She then let her son color on it with crayons.

“Going to have him do this once a week until Christmas,” she wrote in the caption.

The video racked up over 10.2 million views and 1.3 million likes on TikTok.

“My problem is I would never been able to unwrap the gift because the drawings are too meaningful,” someone wrote.

“When they’re all ripped up after Christmas, you can put shreds in a clear ornament as a memory for that year,” a person commented.

“I do this every year and my kids love it!” another added.

“I did this exact thing a few years ago and it was a huge hit! I used paint and let my then toddler go crazy,” a TikToker replied.

“Ok. This is perfect,” a user said.
