How do you get a child to sit still in their seat? Stick them to it.

Traveling with fidgety kids can be a nightmare for parents. Fortunately, one Minnesota mother Lisa Flom seemingly demonstrated a unique way to get her toddler to sit still on an airplane — by Velcroing them to their seat, as seen in a video with 19.2 million views on TikTok.

While the footage received backlash from viewers, not all was as it appeared.

The bizarre clip shows the Minneapolis native, who has two daughters aged 3 and 1, applying Velcro strips to her younger tot’s seat while on an unidentified flight.

Flom then affixes corresponding swatches to the back of the toddler’s onesie and fastens the baby to the seat like a tennis ball catching pad, effectively preventing the tyke from roaming the aisles.

Accompanying footage shows the toddler seeming to struggle to escape her seat.

Nonetheless, many TikTok commenters were shocked and appalled by the would-be fly strip technique with one exclaiming, “I felt so bad for him.”

“There’s definitely other solutions,” said another.

Meanwhile, some armchair experts pointed out that the child should be in a car seat or approved restraint — a measure that’s strongly suggested, albeit not required — by the Federal Aviation Administration.

Fortunately, as many fellow guardians surmised, Flom’s so-called public safety announcement was satirical in nature, seemingly intended to lampoon the plethora of online parenting hacks.

Some pointed out that it was nearly identical to a scene from “The Goofy Movie.”

Nonetheless, many moms seemed to be on board with the idea with harried parents labeling it “genius” and “so satisfying.”

“Lol I should’ve thought of this,” exclaimed one.

Indeed, the clip should be taken with a grain of salt.

The mother, who boasts over 750,000 TikTok followers, has previously demonstrated bandaging bumps with frozen diapers and using one’s toddler as a mop — like the mom version of prop-based comedian Carrot Top.

In fact, this latest video rang similar to a previous tongue-in-cheek clip, in which Flom Velcroed her tot to a futon to keep her from roaming about the house, Newsweek reported.

“My one-year-old is all over the place and sometimes you just want two minutes to get something done,” Flom quipped in the clip.

Just like with the airplane adhesive video, the clip generated laughs but also outrage from commenters not in on the joke. “The way people think this is serious makes me scared for society,” said one commenter while describing gullible viewers who took the video literally.

Flom, who also offers useful parenting hacks as well, believes it’s important to remind her fellow parents to laugh every once in a while.

“Being a parent is fun! Having kids is fun!” she declared. “These are a bunch of ideas and hacks to make it easier and also make you laugh while you are doing it!”
