Molly Sims Swears By This ‘Incredible’ Product for Glowing, Bright Skin at 50

Molly Sims is busy. The model has three kids, a newly founded skincare brand, YSE Beauty, and a podcast, Lipstick on the Rim, to host. As her podcast’s name might denote, the celeb knows a thing or two about the cosmetic industry, with decades of modeling under her belt. So what items make the cut on the 50-year-old’s beauty cabinet? The star recently sat down with Prevention to share her must-haves, and the one product she swears by for glowing dark spot-free skin: YSE Beauty’s The Problem Solver.

The powerhouse product is multipurpose: “You can use it as a spot treatment to get rid of dark spots and redness. You put it on and it will literally fade the spot. You can put it as a treatment at night—about a dime all over—and it’s that powerful. It hits delete.”
The star said she’s dealt with skincare concerns from a very young age, having had cystic acne growing up. But her complexion challenges didn’t really begin until 2012. “I am very capable of trying different products and procedures but what I was doing was making [my skin] worse,” she says. “I was using really strong ingredients or doing some type of peel or laser and it was cyclical.”
Ultimately, she says she “stopped going to procedures and started going to products. In 2019 I’m going to stop doing peels and lasers and I found some really good products on the market. Either they were too strong or they were unattractive or there was no efficacy but they looked good. I came up with a system that was 15 products.” But she knew this wasn’t feasible for the countless other people that wanted to address skin concerns without maxing out their credit cards. So she started YSE. While the brand’s price point is pricey compared to drugstore picks, Sims says it works wonders.
“My skin looks younger,” she says. The star says that one of the most important beauty lessons she’s learned is to keep skin hydrated, which YSE products are chock full of moisturizing ingredients. “As much as you strip with your actives and last calls you also have to put back in the hydration,” she says.
