Models in Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty New York Fashion Week 2018 Show Wore Fenty Beauty Makeup

Unsurprisingly, there was a lot of goodness to take in at Rihanna’s first-ever Savage X Fenty New York Fashion Week show: The choreography! The diversity! Pregnant Slick Woods dancing down the runway in bondage! And then, of course, there was the beauty.

Makeup artist Priscilla Ono exclusively used Fenty Beauty products (natch) to create the megawatt looks; which featured bright lids, heavy highlight, and a whole lot of body glitter. Fenty Beauty’s Body Lava, Killawatt Highlighters, [Matchstix],(https://www.teenvogue.com/story/rihanna-fenty-beauty-matchstix-lipstick-tutorial) and Glitter Bomb Gloss worked their magic to make the models look stunningly glowy as they came down the greenhouse-esque runway. According to Fenty Beauty’s Instagram, all of the looks in the show were inspired by stained glass.

Before the show, the brand did a backstage deep dive on Instagram stories, sharing key behind-the-scenes tips. The big takeaway? The more glitter, the better. To make the models's eyes look extra glossy, Priscilla used Fenty Beauty’s new Gloss Bomb as a topcoat over the Morroccan Spice eyeshadow, a trick we will be adding to our fall beauty arsenal immediately.

The hair in the Savage X Fenty show was just as statement-making as the makeup. Models came down the catwalk in a variety of colorful dyes and statement-making accessories, including Bella Hadid’s rhinestone hair clip, Gigi Hadid’s khaki-colored headscarf, Indira Scott' flower-adorned beaded braids, and Slick Woods’s lime-green dye job.

It's unclear if there were some secret, unreleased Fenty Beauty products being used backstage, too — but if we know Rihanna, we're guessing there was. Now the challenge will be waiting until she finally tells us what it is.
