Model Tess Holliday Proves One Size Does Not Fit All in Hotel Bathrobe

Tess Holliday is breaking the silence about the “one size fits all” epidemic. We all know one size most definitely does not fit all, but Holliday is one of the first to say something about it.

The British model spent her anniversary weekend at the Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo, California, and shared some photos from her luxurious looking stay. So luxurious, in fact, that the hotel had plush white bathrobes for the guests. The only problem is, the robe didn’t fit the guest.

Holliday posted a photo of herself in the robe looking in the mirror. The robe wouldn’t close, and the belt didn’t help. She sarcastically wrote on the photo, “I’m so glad they had a robe in my size.” The caption read, “AMIRITE?! ????????????#onesizefitshardlyanyone.”

She is right; there definitely is no one size fits all, even if it’s something as simple as a scarf or a hat or, more importantly in this case, a bathrobe. Everyone is unique and entitled to products that fit their individual dimensions.

We’re pressured enough by the fashion industry to fit into a box, and while the hotel probably had no ulterior motive for placing a too-small robe in the room, the hospitality industry should stay out of this fight. Maybe they could offer customers size options for bathrobes. That would be a solution that could fit us all.
