Supermodel Slick Woods announced on Instagram earlier this week that she's undergoing chemotherapy. She subsequently told The Shade Room that she is battling stage 3 melanoma cancer, but has told fans and supporters on Instagram to not treat her "like a victim."

Woods first acknowledged the treatment she is undergoing by posting a photo of her and friends dancing. "How I feel about chemotherapy," she wrote in the caption. "Shout out to everyone that gotta go through it #atleastimalreadybald."

Later, she posted another picture, this time of her one-year-old son, Saphir, making a scrunched up face. "Stop treating me like a victim," she wrote in the caption.

Then, she uploaded a photo of herself at Rihanna's Savage x Fenty show during New York Fashion Week this past September. "Modern day Gia without the drugs #justcrazy 'where does everyone go when they have to go' I thought I told y’all I’m not no victim," she wrote in the caption.

The Shade Room confirmed that Woods is undergoing chemotherapy for stage 3 melanoma cancer. They posted on Instagram yesterday, "She exclusively tells us that she is battling stage 3 melanoma cancer and that the cancer is spreading. She says she’s currently fighting for her life. At this time, we continue to pray for Slick’s health and that she’ll beat this disease. Her good spirit and will to fight is a testament to her strength and she’s certainly not alone in this fight given the outpouring of love and support from friends and fans all over the world. Keep fighting, Slick!"
