Moda Operandi will feature an exclusive capsule collection and pop-up shop with The Frankie Shop entitled “The Art of Dressing.”

For the first time, Moda Operandi, in collaboration with The Frankie Shop, will host a limited-time pop-up shop featuring the exclusive capsule and an additional assortment of The Frankie Shop’s high summer styles and bestsellers. The pop-up will kick off Friday with a VIP preview and cocktail ahead of the digital launch with tastemakers, influencers, celebrities and top clients in attendance. The pop-up will open to the public Saturday and Sunday at High Line Nine at 507 West 27th Street in New York from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Redgert Communications helped the pair build out the space and shopping experience.

“The Frankie Shop has long been a fashion insider and Moda client-beloved brand, featuring everyday wardrobing pieces at a sharp price point, all with that ‘je ne sais quoi’ that only the French can get so right. We’re incredibly excited to have collaborated with Gaelle [Drevet, founder of The Frankie Shop] and her team on an exclusive capsule that solves the ever-present conundrum of what to wear to look chic in the city heat,” said April Hennig, chief merchant of Moda Operandi. She said the pieces are in a neutral color palette that can easily be worn “from day-to-night and off to party,” and can be paired back to the brand’s elevated essentials in new colors and fabrics.

Drevet said the brand wanted to partner with Moda in part because the platform is “curating fashion to empower women and their lifestyle.”

“It was a natural fit for us to join together and reconnect with the art world in New York during the Frieze Art Fair following our Los Angeles pop-up,” she added. “Their platform resonates with our ethos of celebrating unique, fashion-forward pieces. Our ‘Art of Dressing’ capsule embodies the fact that aesthetics matter, drawing inspiration from the freedom and audacity of the art world, it is a celebration of self-confidence. What we’re showing here is that you can curate your physical environment and wear your point of view.”

Moda Operandi and The Frankie Shop collaborated with prominent women in the New York City art world for a campaign, shot by Myrthe Giesbers. Gallerist Hannah Traore was photographed in her eponymous Lower East Side gallery; while artist Simone Bodmer-Turner and gallerist Emma Scully were shot together at Scully’s gallery.

The campaign will be displayed throughout the pop-up and on printed materials for shoppers to take home. It will also appear on Moda Operandi and The Frankie Shop’s social media, starting Friday. Images will also appear on Moda Operandi’s website from Monday to promote the capsule collection digitally.

Moda’s “Art of Dressing” collection follows such launches as April’s By Malene Birger’s summer 2024 Vacation Capsule, and the multibrand Club Moda Surf capsule. A TWP exclusive collection is slated to launch later this month.

The Frankie Shop x Moda Operandi “Art of Dressing” exclusive capsule launches Friday for in-person shopping and on Monday on modaoperandi.com. Price points range from $98 to $436.
