The Inside Out 2 first reactions were not the only thing to roll out of the Walt Disney Studios CinemaCon panel.

Disney had representatives for their entire upcoming slate, including a first look at Moana 2 with Dwayne Johnson in attendance at the panel.

The surprise sequel was announced earlier this year, and momentum has been building ahead of its November 27 release date.

Moana 2's section of the panel opened with a stunning dance performance, with Johnson joining the dancers for the final moments.

Following the number, Johnson greeted the crowd and introduced the footage, revealing, "This goes deeper than a character. It's my culture."

Johnson continued the heartfelt presentation, "The character of Maui was inspired by my grandfather," going on to round out the speech with "It's so much deeper than a movie to me, and I know it's so much deeper than a movie to Disney".

In the first footage shown at CinemaCon, Moana returns to Motunui, where she is met with celebration.

A new song, which discusses returning home, soundtracks the moment.

Following the musical number, a montage of the remainder of the film was played for the CinemaCon audience, previewing Moana's return to the ocean with some familiar faces, a new member or two and guidance from her ancestors.

Maui is said to morph into an eagle upon reuniting with Moana, with the closing words in the preview being from Gramma Tala, who says, "We never stop choosing who we are", as per Discussing Film.

Auli'i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson are confirmed to be reprising their roles as Moana and Maui for the film that will hit theaters on November 27 this year.
