Milan Design Week, with all of its long lines, product launches, blockbuster exhibits, and gridlocked traffic, can be overwhelming. Missoni, however, is taking a different strategy with its installation in a more intimate, laid-back locale: the Milan residence of actor and influencer Paolo Stella.

The home, dubbed Suonare Stella, was first launched back in December. Like many residences-turned-showhouses, the idea was to present Missoni's bold, stylish patterns in a domestic setting, contextualizing the brand's many different products, colors, and patterns. Stella's Instagram posts serve as another layer to the brand showcase, playfully showing off all the different Missoni products in his home over time as a “digital showroom.”

Now, during Milan Design Week, the home serves as the perfect showcase of Missoni's new 2024 collection. It’s a line that takes Missoni’s classic, timeless patterns and reinterprets them in subtle neutrals, like the instantly recognizable, crisscrossing Nastri motif. Furniture on display includes the modular Tektonik sofa, the Mini Gravita armchair, as well as several multi-colored poufs. A new coffee cup and saucer line, meanwhile, was designed to elevate the “brief moments of relaxation” you experience while having your morning cappuccino.

If you’re in town for Design Week, you can pop by the apartment and see the collection for yourself. You may not boast nearly half a million Instagram followers like Stella, but—inside this colorful jewel box—an audience of one will do just fine.
