Missing Michigan Woman’s Loved Ones Believe ‘Outgoing’ Nature Contributed to Possible Abduction
Relatives and friends of a 28-year-old Michigan woman who vanished more than two weeks ago say they are “heartbroken” she’s missing and tell PEOPLE they fear her outgoing nature may have played a part in her mysterious disappearance.
Danielle Stislicki hasn’t been seen since she left her office in Southfield, Michigan, the night of Dec. 2. Those who know her say she isn’t the type to up and leave without notice. Instead, they describe her as “friendly” and a “people person” — traits someone may have taken advantage of.
“If she would have gotten out of her car at her apartment building and if someone was there and asked her for help, she would have been that outgoing person who would give someone directions or help someone find a lost pet,” explains Holly Juip, Danielle’s cousin. “It’s just heartbreaking to think about … I can’t even imagine the terror her parents must be feeling, not knowing what’s happened to her.”
Danielle is white with brown, wavy hair, stands 5 feet 5 inches and weighs 123 pounds, according to police.
Authorities in Farmington Hills, Michigan, say Stislicki was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black zip-up shirt, a blue Eddie Bauer coat and burgundy boots. After work, Stislicki was supposed to stop home before meeting a friend for dinner.
Police say she never made the dinner and failed to show up for work the next morning. She has not been seen or heard from since.
Her Jeep was found the morning after she went missing, parked outside her residence in Farmington Hills. Inside the vehicle was her purse with all of her credit cards.
Jessica Hunter-Shively, who has known Stislicki since high school, says the Danielle she knows would never purposely disappear.
“Even if she were to just runaway, why would she leave all of her stuff behind?,” Hunter-Shively asks. “It doesn’t make sense. She’s such a family person and a people person. She’s got a big family. She was always with friends and family … she was outgoing. I hope she wasn’t too outgoing and someone snatched her up.”

Hunter-Shively tells PEOPLE Stislicki “doesn’t have a bad bone in her body” and says that worries her.
“She’s not a fighter, and that just makes me nervous,” Hunter-Shively explains. “This has obviously shattered my heart.”
Juip tells PEOPLE there was nothing that would have driven her cousin to run away.
“She loved her job, she was training people there … she had plans to buy a house, just plans for the future,” Juip says. “Hopefully, we find out what happened.”
More than $125,000 in reward money is being offered for information leading to Stislicki’s safe return.
The Farmington Hills Police Department wants “anyone who may have observed Danielle and/or her vehicle” the night of Dec. 2 to call (248) 871-2610.
Police are also interested in speaking with anyone who may have seen Stislicki arriving at her residence between 5 p.m. on Dec. 2 and 6 p.m. on Dec. 3, and anyone who may have observed her during this time span.

Police continue to search for Stislicki’s Samsung Galaxy Core Prime phone, which has a rose-colored case. They’re also looking for her key chain, which features a unique charm — a smiling yellow figure with a green body and yellow legs — and two keys.
A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help finance efforts to locate Danielle.
