Missed Prime Day? Don’t Worry, I’ve Found Wild Sales on Baby Gear Still Happening
"Hearst Magazines and Yahoo may earn commission or revenue on some items through these links."
Prime Day is in the past, but deals are very much present. Yes, there are baby deals from Target, Amazon, and Walmart, but the kicker is that it's now the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale through August 8, and things that don't normally get discounted — such as the Bugaboo Stardust play yard and the Silver Cross Wave stroller are seeing deep cuts in their price.
I've spent the past 72 hours in a Prime Day baby sales-shopping hole, and the deals are fresh in my mind, so my ability to spot a killer discount has never been sharper. As a parenting editor, it's my business to know the best products for babies from the best convertible car seats to the best playpens. I know what's up, and I am here to tell you that there are some absurdly great deals on really terrific products.
If you’re looking to buy gifts for friends and family, or you need to round out your own nursery, there’s never been a better time to buy. Nordstrom’s sales are always great, but they’re really outdoing themselves this year. Check out my favorites from them and more below.
Moa 8-in-1 Highchair
You won't have to worry about struggling trying to assemble this high chair. I was able to put it together in mere minutes. It's high-quality, has a great, wide, low center of gravity. It has adjustable footrests, a harness, easy to clean fabrics, and a dishwasher-safe tray.
RAVA™ Flame Retardant Free Convertible Car Seat
The Rava by Nuna so rarely goes on sale, I was literally slack-jawed when I saw that it was $150 off at Nordstrom. It's an amazing convertible car seat that is suitable for kids up to 50 pounds in rear-facing, making it one of the longest rear-facing seats. It is made for babies 5 to 50 pounds in rear-facing mode; 25 to 65 pounds in forward-facing mode; up to 49 inches tall. (Little reminder that you should keep your kids rear-facing as long as possible, even if their legs don't look like they fit.)
The padding is ultra dense, the fabrics are easy to clean, and the no-rethread harness makes adjustments a snap.
VISTA V2 Stroller in Theo at Nordstrom
Like the Nuna, the UppaBaby Vista2 never goes on sale. It's hands-down my favorite stroller of the past decade. Not only is it a single-to-double stroller with car seat attachments and a bassinet, it has a ton of storage, pivots like a dream, and everything comes clean easily. It's simply one of the best strollers you can buy, and when it's $150 off? It's time to jump all over that deal.
Slumber Travel Crib
I have only recently been able to test the Silver Cross Slumber. It's a bassinet and playpen, with luxurious fabrics, simple design, and easy to clean fabrics. Unlike some playpens, this one is straightforward to assemble. A few placed rods and it's done. It is easily one of the most luxurious, best playpens I've ever tested.
Stardust Playard
Strapped for space but you still need a play yard? The Bugaboo Stardust is my favorite compact playpen. What's wild about it is that I've only seen it go on sale a few times in the almost 3 years it has been available. It also folds up really small for storage.
Bib'Expresso Baby Bottle Prep Machine
Is it weird that I had fun making bottles with this machine? It heats water in about a minute, and dispenses it right in the bottle. Just shake and go. It's a great way to speed up those feedings that happen in the middle of the night when nothing seems to go quickly enough.
Silver Cross Wave 2022 Convertible Stroller
Our very own deputy editor, Joana Mascioli, tested this stroller, and uses it to this day. Now that she has a second baby, it's obviously going to get a workout since it's a single-to-double stroller with car seat adaptability, pram attachment, and lush, washable fabrics. Don't overlook the leatherette handles, either. And like the Bugaboo, it almost never goes on sale.
Shnuggle Air Bedside Sleeper Infant Crib
You'll feel like you are in the future with the Beaba Shnuggle Air Bedside Sleeper. It's convertible to a regular crib with the conversion kit, and comes with a breathable mattress. The front piece opens to let you get closer to baby.
It's simple to clean thanks to clean lines and high-gloss finish. If you're into the modern look, this may be the best time to grab something truly neat.
Pria™ All-in-1 Convertible Car Seat
Your baby will be riding in style from the time they are born until they hit 100 pounds with this convertible car seat from Maxi Cosi. It's good for babies 4 to 40 pounds in rear-facing mode with the included infant insert; up to 65 pounds in forward-facing mode; and up to 100 pounds in booster mode. It has a one-click latch, and get this: the fabrics are machine washable and dryer safe. Convenient much?
Sonata Smart Breast Pump
Get your insurance money’s worth with this hospital-grade pump from Medela. Thanks to Obamacare, most breast pumps are covered by insurance, and this one is covered by all the major insurance companies I contacted. Just buy it and submit the paperwork for reimbursement.
Medela makes a wonderful pump, and this one is a parent favorite. There are many levels of suction, it’s rechargeable, and as someone who used Medela herself, I can tell you that it is incredibly durable and really works.
Family Anthem2 All-Terrain 2-Seater Wagon Stroller
I just recently tested this in the past few months, and boy was I impressed. It’s easy to maneuver, the fabrics come clean quickly, and there’s plenty of legroom for your kids. It’s a two-kid wagon with 5-point harnesses, huge, vented sun shades, and a big cargo space off the back.
It's also dead simple to assemble. Stick on the wheels, stick on the canopies, and pull it up. That's all there was to it. For under $375? A steal.
