At the conclusion of tonight's 2019 Miss America pageant, Miss New York, Nia Franklin received the much-coveted tiara. This is the fourth win for a Miss New York state titleholder in the past decade at Miss America.

Franklin had made her mark, in particular, in the night's talent competition–her operatic solo blew many of her fellow finalists' performances out of the water, it must be said.

Behind Franklin, the top 5 finalists at the pageant were as follows: 1st runner-up, Miss Connecticut, Bridget Oei; 2nd runner-up, Miss Louisiana, Holli' Conway; 3rd runner-up, Miss Florida, Taylor Tyson; 4th runner-up, Miss Massachusetts, Gabriela Taveras.

Somewhat controversially, the outgoing Miss America, Cara Mund, was not afforded the opportunity to speak or even get the "There She Is" music!
